Walter Mitty Hunt uncovers phony charity

| November 3, 2012

Our cousins across the ocean, the folks at Walter Mitty Hunt uncovered a phony charity set up by a phony soldier. I guess our problems are just like theirs despite the language barrier;

The website as published last night (on the 2nd November 2012, and a very amateurishly designed web page dressed to look like the Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal and also showing the logos of many other respected British Military Charities), was taking Pay-pal donations to a personal email account, registered with Yahoo and showing the name “Suffolk Sponsor a cat”; maybe very probably another misguided cause:

Clinton Hogben had even posted a link and photograph to publicize his fake poppydayappeal.org.uk web site, and was immediately jumped upon by Lucy Aldridge as highlighted here (and in a second image with the comments enlarged for slightly easier reading):

That’s some damn fine shootin’ guys.
