NCC: Iran’s Qud Force a threat to US

| September 20, 2012

Feeling safer now that the war in Iraq is over and the military is rushing for the exits in Afghanistan? Well the National Counterterrorism Center says you shouldn’t reports the Washington Times;

Matthew G. Olsen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, said “Iran remains the foremost state-sponsor of terrorism in the world. We have seen an uptick in operational activity by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Quds Force over the last year or so.”

And, yet we’re willing to let them become a nuclear power, and we want to hamstring the Israelis from preventing that eventuality.

The Quds Force is the elite division of the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, responsible for operations abroad, and Mr. Olsen cited the federal prosecution last year of a foiled Iranian plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. by bombing a Washington restaurant.

A senior official of the Quds Force, Gholam Shakuri, was indicted in October for his involvement in the plot, which actually was an elaborate sting by a Drug Enforcement Administration informant. He remains at large in Iran.

Oh, so they were only plotting a terrorist act in the US in Washington, DC? Oh, yeah, I’m feeling safer now.

Adding to concern about Hezbollah is an article in the Times of London on Wednesday based on an interview with a major general in the Syrian army who recently defected. Gen. Adnan Sillu told the paper that the Syrian regime had plans to provide chemical weapons to Hezbollah for use in rocket attacks against Israel.

Well, as long as they only plan to use them against Israel, I guess we’re alright. RIght?

Well Jonn you would be pretty safe as you’re located in WVA. Just don’t go hanging out in Georgetown or Adams Morgan. Oh and don’t go hanging out in Masada or Eilat and you’ll be just fine. Although if I had the chance to hang out with hawt IDF chicks, I’d risk it! LOL

Twist

I got a lot of fond memories, as well as a few blank spots in my memory, from partying in Eilat.

With the sieve that’s our southern border, this could turn very ugly. There are some very remote areas between Tucson and Yuma…no real towns until you get to Gila Bend.

For all of us who may not be Qud proficient, here is Qud 101 from wiki:

We should be very concerned.

Some of us are so simple minded that we feel no need (no offense, MSCP – of course it’s interesting stuff to know) to be proficient with all the nuances of who supports who, where they originate, and all that hideous stuff. All we want is the borders to be CLOSED. (Some of us actually thought that might happen after 9-11, dreamers that we are.) If you have no business being here, then you don’t get in. Period.

Of course, after all these years of encouraging enemies to move here with all their baggage, finding all the folks who don’t belong here would not be easy. We could start by making it less financially rewarding for parasites to move here – then perhaps most of them would just leave. That would at least make it a little easier to sort through the rest of them who are here specifically to do us harm.

Just don’t get it. Are there really so few of us left with the will to survive past the next big game?

(How did MCPO become MSCP?? Duh.)
