Milblog Conference Weekend
So, the Milbloggers’ annual meeting to discuss taking over the world is this weekend. It’s my fifth out of the six and I’m pretty excited, more than I was a few months ago. I get to hang out with buddies I haven’t seen since last year, and I can’t wait to see what costume Uncle Jimbo will entertain us with this year.
I get to meet my editors from Business Insiders, the closest thing I have to bosses (well, besides you folks, of course). Some of you have told me you’ll be there, too, so there’s that. Bring beer money.
If you haven’t been following TSO on his incessant posts to Facebook, he’s on the last leg home from Afghanistan and should be in the arms of his lovely wife and his traumatized dogs tonight.
But, I’m all packed (and, yes, guys, I packed cigars) and heading out soon. My co-bloggers have assured me that they’ll keep you occupied with posts this weekend while my reportage might be a little spotty. There might even be an Army Sergeant post.
Speaking of Jimbo, he has a Friday Freefly up at Blackfive that you should probably watch.

Have a great time. Wish I could be there
Grrrrrr……. I’m working here in L.A. Couldn’t make it out. Boston Maggie has instructions to eat a cupcake on my behalf. Matt Burden is bringing in the trailer from High Ground to hand over to Sarah Blansett.
I wish I were there.
By the way, I liked it better when everyone though “I got your six” meant “I didn’t forget the beer.”
I hear that a little known cartoonist, by the name of Ishmael Holmes author of Power Point Ranger will be there. Try to look him up and maybe give Snappy Cow a taste!
Have fun tonight! I’ve got a family commitment, but I’ll likely join everyone for drinks later on in the night.
Wish I could be there, but Mother’s Day weekend just didn’t fit in the schedule.
[…] And I’ll refer you to this. […]
We’re having a great time, aren’t we Jonn!
Mr Holmes was in attendance, with Snappy Cow, at least I think thats why he was trying to hook me up with every woman in the room. . .
Maggie, LOVED the way you say di-pahs ha ha
