The Jawa Report has video and transcript of Joe Biden taking credit for the situation in Iraq. Rocky Shackelford does an excellent job of taking Biden apart.
In his totally stupid-ass lie, Biden says that “the surge” was just the adaptation of his (Biden’s) plan from the beginning. How does anything that’s happened in Iraq in the last two years look even remotely like a three-way partition of Iraq? Is Biden smoking crack?
He also says that President Bush is finally coming around to Barack Obama’s plan for a withdrawal timetable. WTF? Seriously? Obama had said he would pull troops out of Iraq 16 months after he became President…regardless of the facts on the ground in Iraq. He also started saying that 19 months ago…before the placement of the troops in Iraq for the surge was complete. Harry Reid was calling it a failure at the same time. Joe Biden was saying we should divide iraq into three different countries and pull out at the same time.
The whole thing is this; there wouldn’t have been an insurgency in the first place if the Democrats hadn’t acted like they were ready to pull out of Iraq on the third day of the invasion of Hussein’s Iraq. There wouldn’t have been an insurgency if Bill Clinton hadn’t cut and run from Somalia in 1993. There wouldn’t have been an insurgency if the Democrats had kept their promise to South Vietnam and protected them from the invasion from the north in 1975.
The insurgency in Iraq ended because, while al Sadr and Iran thought that a Democrat win in Congress in 2006 meant we’d pull out, and they were just getting a head start on their own new government to fill the power vacuum the US would leave. Instead President Bush ADDED troops and dashed the hopes of those 7th century retards…in spite of Congress. THAT’S what won Iraqis over to our side – Bush showed our commitment and resolve in the face of the Joe Bidens and Barack Obamas in OUR OWN CONGRESS.

Concur – Joe Biden is smoking crack. I believe he was last seen on a street corner selling his toaster for $5.00 or the equivalent.
I worked at the embassy in Baghdad when Biden’s no-good, terrible plan was passed as a non-binding resolution. The running joke was that every ideologically different group in Iraq politics was united in their hatred of his plan. It made America look like the Mongols. What an embarrassment. Biden needs to STFU and re-evaluate the situation over there if he’s gonna be #2.
