TAH and Gateway Pundit at the Welcome Home Parade

| January 29, 2012

TSO and his child bride attended the first Welcome Home parade for Iraq veterans in Saint Louis, MO, yesterday. He was lucky enough to work with Jim Holt, the Gateway Pundit.

Thousands of people attended the parade today to honor Iraq War vets. It was an impressive turnout.

I was honored to watch the parade with famous Veteran Sgt. Mark Seavey who came in with his wife for the event.

Thanks to the good folks in Saint Louis for doing for the troops what this administration is unwilling to do. According to reports, it was a good non-partisan event free of politics and focused strictly on welcoming the troops home.

In case you’re wondering, IVAW wasn’t there, the excuse we got from Army Sergeant is that there’s no IVAW chapter in St. Louis, but it seems to me that the end of the war, which is part of their name, would have motivated a few to swing their banner. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they didn’t show up, but it seems to me that they would have pried a few bucks loose from Jose Vasquez’ pay check to welcome the troops back.

“Thanks to the good folks in Saint Louis…”

Roger that!

Frankly Opinionated

And thanks for Attending, CV n Caro. That means so much to our returning troops, and to those not yet serving, who will surely see that at least some of us give a damn.

Bloomberg said that NYC will not be doing a parade

Of course they won’t. Bloomberg is too busy blowing the city’s money on gun stings in other states. There’s no room in the city’s budget for parades.

They will have one if the Giants win the Super Bowl

I was there as well. It was over 1 1/2 hrs of emotional awesomeness. I have a few pictures up at my facebook page. I opened the photo album to everyone.
