But did they urinate on them afterwards?

| January 23, 2012

This isn’t to justify what those five marines did, it’s to criticize the media’s treatment of the video as well as the story about the drone that took out a Pakistani outpost along with two dozen Pakistani soldiers. jerry920 sent us a link to a Fox News article about a unit of Taliban which captured 15 Pakistani soldiers and executed them on video;

The video, according to AFP, which it says obtained a copy, shows the soldiers lined up in three rows, each with their hands bound behind their back and blindfolded. A Taliban leader criticizes the Pakistani government for killing 12 militants, and warns of more revenge killings if the attacks continue, AFP reports.

Then he opens fire, along with the other Taliban.

So, I’ve been waiting for the BBC to call me so they can dedicate two hour-long segments of interviews on this story, and the only person calling me is Zero who calls to tell me that he can’t tell me something. Yeah, our phone conversations are pretty much like his posts.

Even the Fox News article goes off on a tangent about the drone strikes, completely unrelated to the execution of 15 Pakistanis, for some stupid reason. This act by the Taliban is clearly more horrendous than urinating on dead bodies, but the media blows our actions so far out of proportion that this is almost a non-event in our world according to the media.

It still amazes me that this administration is bending over backwards to convince us that anything they negotiate with these creatures is better than killing them in droves.

The actions committed by us and in our name are actions we can and should control.

Despicable actions by people we already know are despicable simply doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

Zero Ponsdorf

Prick. But still cute!

Oh don’t fight now boy-o’s.

So John here’s a question for you. The Taliban is protesting NATO killing Pakistani Military border guards, buy killing Pakistani Army men? Did BBC stop to question the Logic on that one?

Poohbah, Lord High Everything Else

If you can fix it with a Sham-Wow, it’s not a war crime.

Ci

@2 – WTF?

Zero Ponsdorf

Ci #5: Jonn really is a cute little guy, and a prick at times. Is there a further question?

Ci

Nope…I’m not touching that one…..

It’s not so much that there exists a double standard, its how the media treats comparable(or worse) actions of our enemies. That is what is outrageous.

Were these Pakistani Soldiers or their Paramilitary Corps, I don’t think it said. There is a subtle difference, the Paramilitary police are actually stationed in the tribal areas and have more then any other in the security forces gotten their asses handed to them. The enemy has free reign over almost the entire area, state control is almost none existent.

The regular Army also has had serious reverses and only sporadically been able to retake certain locales. For Pakistan to have any hope to subdue them, would mean pivoting the bulk of the Army from the Indian border to the tribal areas. They have no will to enact such a move.

Cedo Alteram, amen and amen! These clowns remind me of the Viet Namese. they didn’t care enough about their own country to fight for it and now their communist. The Iraqi’s! Afghani’s n Pakistani’s don’t seem to have the guts to fight the ass bags who kill their own country men and would enslave their own people. America’s not perfect but we’re not them.

We’re not them? But, but…. waaah! Urine, Haditha, Abu Ghraib! Oh, the cameras aren’t rolling anymore? Nevermind.
Oh and on another note- yes actions we control, got it, absolutely. So long as everyone (and I mean all the asshats in the MFM too) understands the different level we hold ourselves to, versus those who oppose us. As as been shown w/the Marines, that ain’t gonna happen. Bastards.
