You know it’s coming, but it gets me every time. Especially the crowd’s reaction.

That was the only thing to cheer about yesterday in the Metrodome.

Yeah, I’m a Vikings fan and spent 3 hours swearing at the tv. Not that I swear or anything, normally, but this season, the Vikes bring it out in me.

Yea feel your pain. Viking fan as far back as when Anthony Carter was playing. The 99 game against the Falcons and the game against the Saints in 2010 were both heart breakers.

I was good until the little girl let out “Daddy!”

“…as far back as Anthony Carter.” Hell, I remember when the Vikings’s quaterback was Leif Erickson. I believe he was drafted in the 1st round out of Iceland U. He had a strong arm but didn’t take losses well. That burning and pillaging business shortened a very promising career.

Never get tired of these. Plus the Raiders won to boot, not really trying to rub it in. I was doing my share of swearing in the second half.

I don’t go quite that far back. I remember watching the Vikings in their very first Superbowl and I was a fan of the Purple People Eaters (Larson, Eller, Paige, Marshall) and in fact, up here in the Tundra, you could buy a Viking snowmobile back in the early 70’s complete with Viking emblem on the side of the hood. The colors were gold metal flake and purple metal flake.

Here’s a link to the snowmobiles I was talking about. (yeah, it gets a little chilly up here)
