Crips declare war on military in OK

| September 26, 2011

Apparently, in response to a “brutal” home invasion supposedly conducted by four members of the military at Fort Sill, OK, the Crips street gang has issued a warning that they’ll take out their anger over some of their members who were killed in the home invasion on the entire military community in Lawton, OK;

According to Cumpton’s memo, National Guard troops were instructed not to “wear a military uniform out for evening dining, shopping, and other personal matters.” Full-time members were cautioned to “consider commuting to/from work in civilian clothes — specifically, if they need to make personal stops between home and work.”

Spokesmen for the Missouri National Guard and Fort Sill declined to elaborate on the incident, saying the investigation is in the hands of the Lawton, Okla., Police Department. Yet as of Saturday afternoon, “the alert has not been rescinded,” said Maj. Tammy Spicer, the public affairs officer for the Missouri National Guard. The decision to call off the alert will come from the Joint Operations Center in Jefferson City.

Brilliant thinking on the part of the street punks. it’s one thing to declare war on another gang of punks, but to declare war on a group of people who all have weapons training, many of whom own their own weapons and CCW licenses? But then they probably don’t shot their pistols sideways, so they’re not all that scary-looking.

This may just be the sort of gang attrition program we’ve been looking for. If this works out, thug life may start to look a lot less attractive.

Unless they have grand aspirations of their homies pouring a 40 on their grave.

USMC Steve

They are just domestic terrorists, and should be treated as terrorists, US citizens or not. Locate, close with, and destroy by fire and maneuver. If nothing let the cops whack some of them by accidental discharge, or out and out murder. Lots of examples of that happening to law abiding people, so let’s see if we make it work for us for a change.

Old Trooper

I’m curious about the circumstances surrounding the home invasion and the backgrounds of those soldiers involved in it.

As for the crips; meh, keep dreaming. One shooting of a soldier and there wouldn’t be anyplace for you to hide; the brothers and sisters of said soldier would rain death and destruction upon you in a way you can’t imagine.

NHSparky

Hmmm…maybe the Crips will consider spreading this edict to CA, NY, etc. Oh wait, they already do. This is just the first time they’ve been stupid enough to try it at people who can actually shoot back.

DaveO

Lawton had (as of 2000) 250 gangs and gang sets. Most were imported by military members and their dependents. Basically what this means is ‘just another day in Lawton, America.’

Crips survive in Lawton only because of the military. The rival gangs, especially the Mexican Mafia, would have happily done them in ten years ago.

509th Bob

And the FBI is not investigating? The investigation is being led by the Lawton PD?

NotSoOldMarine

I remember when they tried to “declare war” on the Tacoma Police Department. Within two days the entire Tacoma PD, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department and half the Washington State Patrol had every idiot hoodlum and everyone they were friendly sitting in the jailhouse on every charge conceivable to man.

UpNorth

509th Bob, the Feeb’s are busy looking into reports that Gibson guitars are made of non-native wood, they can’t be bothered with this./s
As for “gangs”, it helps to read what LE defines as a gang, “A gang is defined as three or more individuals that hang together on a continuing basis, during both criminal and non-criminal activity”. Seriously, 3 constitutes a gang? 3 isn’t even enough people to play a game of basketball, or poker, for that matter. But, lumping 3 people who may commit a B&E, or larceny of gasoline, into a gang, does tend to open up the possibilities of DoJ funds.
LE has gone from outright denial of gangs, for myriad reasons, to trying to label everyone a “gang-banger” now.
I worked in a city double the size of Lawton, Ok., and as far as I know, there are about 12 active gangs, ranging in size from about 5 members to 20-25. Those numbers were, of course, dependent on how many of them were in jail, or prison, at any one time.

DaveO

509th, seriously – what are the odds that the Crips in L-town have Fast&Furious guns? Why do we want the federales on sight? To do market research?

“But then they probably don’t shot their pistols sideways, so they’re not all that scary-looking.” Exactly what I was thinking, dumbasses! The only thing I worry about, is our assumption that most of the people they target will be armed when assaulted. Whether there in the military or not, or even if they own a weapon(CWW or not) I extremely doubt this. The countermove by police/civilians would be gigantic!

In any engagement where the odds were remotely even, they would lose badly. They don’t have the skill, patience, or fortitude for a real fight. Such a confrontation would end with them dead or fleeing. It wouldn’t take many of such fights to ultimately attrite them into submission.

The survivors would be those who realise this is not a smart move. Darwinism in real time.

Flagwaver

You know, the first gangbanger shot by a “concerned citizen” after having done a drive-by of that citizen’s house will end up on the news as an “innocent victim.” The lamestream media would put on his mama screaming that her con (I mean son) was a good boy. The SM doing the shooting would be vilified and hung out to dry…

It’s unfortunate, but true… the asshats run the media and the country believes them…

The Oklahoma newspapers are not carrying anything on the threats by the crips. This is not a good idea by the crips. Deer and Black Bear hunting seasons start this Sturday. Everybodies hunting rifles have been zeroed! What do you think about the crips timing ? Joe

My Sgt came from Fort Carson and this last weekend he got news that one of his buddies got shot five times outside of the night club in Calorado. He lived, but another unknown soldier was shot twice and died. I’m just hoping for Marshal law.

When I was there 7 years ago, word on the street was if you didn’t want problems, don’t go south of Lee Blvd.

i used to live in ft sill and still have some contacts there. this is what i have been told about it. about a week ago, some army service men were robbed by some Crip gang members wearing us army acu’s. Aparently the soldiers who were robbed went to reclaim the stolen property at the gang members house where the shottings happened. ended up being 6 of the wrong people shot. BUT the strange thing is that the soldiers WHO were robbed must have been robbed by people that they knew because ( from what im told) the soldiers went directly over to the gang members house. i have also been told that some arrests have been made but this is all hear-say. all that being said, NONE of it really surprises me. Lawton OK has more gangs than oklahoma city and its 1/16th of the size of OKC. They also have HUGE problems with meth and various other narcotics. Not to mention the attitude of some people there, especially in the military ( ive been in for 5 years now) who believe that just because they are in uniform, that they now have become some billy bad ass when in fact they are just clowns with a govt pay check and have never been hard in their life. Those people are the ones who make the vast majority of outstanding slodiers ( all branches) look like untrained peices of trash.
ALL THAT FOLLOWS IS SARCASUM….
i would like to thank the freaking joakers who decided that it was a good idea to suddenly grow some balls and go all Waytt Earp. your actions have ensured that me and the rest of the army service members will be spending extended hours in “new manditory briefings”. i am glad that you have taken it apon yourselves to add and extra hour and a half to my already 12 hour day. Thank you so much

SoldiersWife

My husband just told me about all this tonight actually and I had to find out what happened to cause this. I think Lawton has slacked off and too many of their cops are bought off by the gangs themselves, if they would just take the initiative and actually manage the problem then there wouldn’t be this issue now. Luckily we don’t go there often, but we both have connections there and I am just hoping that this doesn’t escalate any further. And I agree with the person who said the gangs were just homeland terrorists, I wish they were treated just like anyone else who threatens the well-being of our country, only issue is the Gov’t is so keen to smack down anyone who is not a US citizen, but they won’t even try and defend the daily battle some people face with how bad the gangs are. I bet they could deport more than half of their asses back where they came from and solve a few problems right there. As for the rest? Well, bring in the death penalty for selling drugs to little kids and murder and rape and all the heinous crimes against the US PEOPLE they have committed. I wonder if they think to remember if it weren’t for our soldiers protecting their filthy scumbag selves, they wouldn’t have the freedom they so obviously do not deserve! I apologize if this rant offends anyone, I just HATE anyone who dares attack or say anything bad about the amazing men and women who put up with the shit they do. To make sure we are all safe. Let’s send them pansy gangs overseas and see how many of them “badasses” are still walking around after a while. Lawton- Get your asses in gear and get the situation under control!!! You wouldn’t have a city if it weren’t for the base there!!!!
MILITARY LOUD AND MILITARY PROUD!!!!!!

Doc Bailey

you ever get the feeling that we tolerate too much these days?

Don

Why aren’t these military members allowed unrestricted carry the way cops are? (selfish plug) or those of us who are retired?

Buckmaw

It’s nationwide now…

Marines in CA were just briefed on this.

Doc Bailey

We’ll have to see what happens. Probably won’t amount to much but if it does. . .

Cpl H

I’m stationed in Yuma az and we were told about this yesterday. It’s ok though. Constitutional carry means I can have a round in the chamber when some red flag faggot tries to “retaliate”. Now we gotta listen to a bunch of rednecks try to teach us about what to look for like they’re experts in gang related material. Fuck it. Shoot on sight. Our streets will be cleaner our children will be safer and we may be able to hear good music on the radio again

dr dolittle

Cpl H…….Crips blue, bloods red. your gonna “shoot” the wrong guys.

Hey ive served two tours in iraq and one in afghanistan. There aint no way in hell im gona be nervous about some ghetto trash saying theyre gona declare war on soldiers.

Does anyone remeber the incident in texas in the 90’s. There was a gang that ended up beating the crap out of some Army Rangers. The members of that unit went out in force and extracted revenge on the gang through out the entire town. I figure the same would happen in this situation. They think thier gangs are tight wait till they see how tight a unit of soldiers are. A unit that has fought, died and bled together in real combat. Most would even die for thier fellow soldiers that they hate. Its a totaly different brother and sister hood ther. But Its all show on thier part i dont think anything will ever come of it.

I will defend my country from all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC

It’s a known fact that they don’t conduct proper weapon maintenance. It’s also a known fact that the way they fire their weapon is highly inaccurate. The only redeeming “silver-lining” in their defense is 17 bucks can get you a decent amount of .22 ammo.

Have fun with that, crips.

Come on…We have tanks and close air support. This is barely a step up from a zombie invasion. It’s a dream come true.

Born and Bred Okie

HaHa This some funny stuff. Gonna declare war on soldiers? Maybe Guerrilla warfare, like some Iragi terrorist bullshit. Besides, LTown gangs arent as bad as everyone thinks. I gre up in Lawton and I used to throw down with the best of the “gang” members back then, beatin many of there asses after a EHS LHS game or local party. And that was before my 3 levels of Army combatives training, and 2 tours of duty overseas. Any local soldiers with my mind set would be glad to conduct a cordon and search on one of those gang houses. Too bad LPD is dealing with it. I remember calling there “Tip” line once to report my cocaine dealer because I wanted to go to rehab, they didnt do anything with the info. Even gave em an address where he had over 5 Lbs of coke. Pathetic..

Henry 0311

I hear that all this was started by video responses to Soulja Boy’s “Let’s be Real” track that showed great disrespect to troops. Soulja Boy has claimed to be a member of the “Crips” and apparently the raid was a result of this garbage music. The US Military will destroy these clowns. and i will still wear my camies in public. I dare them to fire first

Trill

Yall all are sum morons we tha crips are more intelligent then u think… Those people that did were cowards that shot a bunch of girls over sum dope .. Yea that’s tha type of people we got riding for our country

I keep hearing how bad the gangs are in Lawton. Kinda sad to hear that idiots are taking over your home town. Well, with a little luck, maybe all of you idiots will kill each other.

a very proud american

If these gangs are so bad maybe they should join the only real the military to know what are real family is. I am very proud to assist the veterans returning home and in my eyes they are true heros. It is very sad that a gang member wont strike unless they are in groups and the military could teach them how to stand alone and have victory That is a real man. And to all you g’s out there, you should really take this to heart..Do research on what tacoma did on “hill top”!! they weren’t so tough then! Thank you to all of our miitary who o there job protecting our lives.

dr

Honestly in lawton soldiers are pussies top target for robberies first to get beat the Fuk up in the club and first to grab a weapon nd not shoot shit but holes in the clouds.then the white ones are scared of a group of 3 or more young blak males in the first place.get the Fuk outta here knapsack

NHSparky

And you being in Savannah, GA, you would know this how, exactly?

Come visit

For all the ppl who are writing stuff about Lawton but have only friends or visited here should really not post anything…I have lived in Lawton for 15 yrs and have lived in all the bad neighbor hoods and some of the so called good ones…the crip vrs army thing wasn’t ever a real threat and the six guys who were army and shot those woman were wrong and also gang affiliated…this town is not a bad town to raise a family. And for the person who said something about the cops being payed off well your just an idiot

Pretty uncomfortable for family members though. I hope this fizzles out. Violence is sometimes the answer but not one I like on American streets. 🙁

http://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publications/2011-national-gang-threat-assessment

Gang presence in the United States military is a phenomenon in which members of American street gangs such as the Bloods, Crips, Latin Kings and many others either join the United States Armed Forces, or are recruited to join the gangs while already in the military. In 2008, FBI gang investigator Jennifer Simon stated that 1-2% of the U.S. military belongs to gangs, which is 50-100 times the rate in the general population.[1] According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment, the NGIC has identified members of more than 53 gangs who have served in the United States military, including Bloods, Crips, Latin Kings, MS-13, Sureños, Juggalos, the Aryan Brotherhood, Barrio Azteca, Bandidos, Hells Angels, and Gangster Disciples.[2]

U.S. gangs have sometimes encouraged their members to join the military in order to learn urban warfare techniques, which they could then teach other gang members when they returned from service.

Why is this post returning from last year(same time)? The bow hunting for Deer has already started. Every hunter is or has sighted in his hunting rifle.Nothing came of this story last year, will be same for this year. Joe

Joe, the only answer is that Hallowe’en is just around the corner and the zombie posts are coming out of the shadows to eat your brain.

Have fun hunting and get pix of those bucks, man.

If someone from the military did do a house invasion, the gangs need to blow their brains out! Point blank! Don’t give a flying f@$$! If they military. They human too, they are not invincible! Yea they got training but, local’S in other countries, that’s street gangs is popping their @$$es like popcorn! So because a person is military don’t mean $hit%% they die like anybody else.
