Gun Pixies?
In casting around to help the Chief find an answer I came up with Gun Pixies.
the Greenwood Police Department don’t know who ordered the Glock machine pistols. The guns can fire 33 bullets in seconds with a single trigger pull. Police Chief Rick McQueary says they’re too dangerous to use for officers who must carefully consider every shot.
McQueary is refusing to pay for the guns because it’s not clear why they were shipped to the department in the first place. The department has no record of the purchase, and the company that shipped them refuses to take them back because they can’t legally be sold to anyone outside a police agency.
There’s a certain irony here methinks. And I do wonder why they haven’t called in The Feds to help?
Category: Geezer Alert!
Holder can sell them to straw gun purchasers to take across the Southern border.
Glock 18…an incredibly quick way to piss away 33 rds of perfectly good 9x19mm ammo.
And yes, Viginia, you too can own one by filling out all the paperwork with BATFE, paying the transfer fee, and ponying up the money for the pistol. The point that “…they can’t be legally sold to anyone outside a police agency…” is true in some states, untrue in others.
Just remember…one good day at the range expending 9mm ammo will probably cost more than the G18 and tax stamp cost ya.
Call me when they make ’em in .45.
Spigot,
I dont know if I would call 9mm “perfectly good”
I would probably call them ” ok if you are out of .45″ 😉
I love my baby eagle .45. And I dont have to spend the extra cash for HP ammo.
Nothing wrong at all with a .45 ACP; I’ve got 6 custom 1911s in my gun safe.
But, in what is typically a multiple attacker world, one of my G19s or G17s is my choice for EDC.
Don’t get me wrong…I carry a 1911 on occasion…when I want to feel “dressed up” and somewhat more manly than when carrying a mere 9mm 😉
just messing with you. My pistol of choice when I lay down at night on the end table is my S&W 9mm. It holds 17 rounds and I dont have to worry about wall penetration as much as with my baby eagle .45 The .45 is my weapon of choice when I am in my truck. I plan on a 1911 asap. Everyone should have a 1911.
@Bulldog – One of my favorite pistols was a SW Sigma, but in a .40. Once I made that purchase, I never looked back to 9mm. I gave up the SW for a Springfield XD, again in .40.
The only 1911 I’d like to have is the Kimber…but I’ve been buying too many other toys to throw money at that model.
“Everyone should have a 1911.”
I second that emotion!! 🙂
I am trying to stay away from a .40. I already have to buy three calibers of pistol ammo. I dont need to add another one. I need to start reloading soon.
No, you can’t own them. They are Post-86 machine guns. Unless you are dealer with a sample letter from a police department or a law enforcement organization.
Glock 21, I was a Beretta gun myself, until I picked up a 21 chambered in .40 SW, Glock is accurate, can take serious punishment, and is ready to engage as soon as you unsnap and clear leather.
Sig 228 man myself. I’m a small framed guy and a .45 is just too big to carry comfortably. Even the Sig 228 (compact version of their 226) is big on me. When out and about I carry a .32 Tomcat, but if the feces hits the fan a .32 on me is way better than a .45 sitting in my safe.
Everyone should have a 1911.
Good news! I’m taking donations! Please see the management for contact info! 🙂
Ugh, typos! Well, I still believe that Gaston Glock got the pistol right! As pistols go, they put a hurt on bad guys, plus there is a kit out there to convert any Glock to a .50 pistol……
#10-Kevin: I checked and I stand corrected.
Maybe one day we’ll have a government in place that will correct that bullshit.
