Hmm… Someone thinks this is funny.
If you’ve ever worn The Dixie Cup or a blue chambray shirt, maybe.
Seems like it might be fuel for the basis of a inter-service joke fest

HHhmmm… sounds like a queer deal to me… but then, Cav and Infantry were my forte’… And you know what they say:
“Armored Cavalry: Death From Behind.”
Heh.
I hate this new Navy.
Cue the Goat Locker jokes in 3…2…1…
Tim.. The bubble-heads are also starting a new dance.
My deep-felt take amounts to the simple question the other branches are asking. Why??
Post Vietnam the military was shrunk… now we are likely to see more of that, AND a focus shift that has little to do with war fighting.
Dang OldCavLt #: You might even drag Jonn in to this. You Army guys like this stuff.
Looks like there will be a new activity added to the SSBN Off Crew schedule…
Thank God I was on fast boats. Then again, this’ll probably give rise to some “special” wakeups for watch relief.
Having served in the Marines and RVN with senior NCOs who fought through the Pacific and on Iwo in particular and having organized the funeral of a close friends father who was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat V for actions on Iwo by having a Marine Honor Guard conduct it…all I can say is I’m totally disgusted by that first picture. I’m sure it’s “cute” or “funny” to some who view it, but it’s a total insult to those who gave it all on that piece of shit island.
Some might say that’s why they gave it all and maybe they did, but I seriously doubt they would see it that way. Semper Fi Cpl. Jump RIP.
