Christian sect murders UN staff

| April 1, 2011

Twelve members of the UN staff at a remote town in upstate NY were murdered by Seventh Day Adventists who were protesting because they’d heard that someone burned a copy of this month’s Adventist Review.

Oh, wait, my bad – it was a crowd of Afghans, and they’d heard that Pastor Wayne Sapp set fire to a copy of the Koran at a church in Florida so after protesting, they decided to begin gunning down innocent civilians unrelated to the reported burning. The Global Post says two of the victims were beheaded.

But according to Reuters, more than a thousand protesters had flooded into the streets of the normally peaceful city after Friday prayers when violence broke out. A small group then attacked the U.N. compound, throwing stones and climbing on blast barriers to try and enter.

Notice how it was “after Friday prayers”. I guess no one incited them to do it.

As many as 11 in total were thought to have been killed, and the dead included Norwegian, Romanian and Swedish employees.

All of those white people look alike to me.

Apparently, Wayne Sapp is somehow related to Terry Jones’ church. The BBC interviews Terry Jones who correctly doesn’t accept responsibility for the murders.

While I agree that there’s no one in this country who bears responsibility for these murders, I hope this serves to influence people in this country to stop poking the “religion of peace” bear.

If they were slaughtering each other, I’d have the same view that I have of inner city violence here in this country – let ’em have at it. But when innocent people get beheaded, it’s time to step back from the whole “making a point” thing. Yeah, we get the point.

Perhaps they believe turning the other cheek is used to identify the jugular.

I think they DO bear some responsibility. What did they *THINK* would happen after word got out?
