Voter fraud in VA. Guess who.

| July 29, 2008

The Washington Times‘ Bob Lewis writes that the Virginia GOP is calling for an investigation into “widespread” voter fraud in the state based on the arrest of several Obama supporters;

The chairman, Delegate Jeffrey M. Frederick, Prince William Republican, decried a “widespread problem across the commonwealth” after the arrests of three people last week in Hampton on election fraud charges. He urged Gov. Tim Kaine, a Democrat, and Attorney General Robert F. McDonnell, a Republican, to begin a statewide investigation.

The three were arrested on felony charges, and Mr. Frederick said the arrests triggered investigations in several other localities, including Richmond, Newport News and Norfolk.

But when pressed on his assertion that registration fraud had been reported by local election registrars statewide, Mr. Frederick would not identify other affected jurisdictions, citing the advice of lawyers.

Nancy Rodrigues, executive secretary of the State Board of Elections, said the reported fraud was based in Hampton, and listed eight other localities where victims could be involved.

Of course, Tim Kaine, VA’s governor is on Obama’s short list for Vice President, so I doubt we’ll see much action from Richmond on this.

Much of the increased registration activity involves block-by-block efforts by the campaign of presumed Democratic nominee Barack Obama to add tens of thousands of new young and minority voters to Virginia’s rolls.

The three people arrested worked for the nonprofit Community Voters Project and, to be paid, had to meet a daily quota of new registrations. Two were 18 and one was 22. The group is affiliated with the Boston-based Fund for the Public Interest, which promotes progressive and environmentalist efforts but has no direct ties to Mr. Obama or the Democratic Party.

To their credit, Fund for the Public Interest blew in the criminals to the cops, but it seems to me that Democrats are involved in a lot of this type of stuff. I’m sure many of my readers will gladly recount stories of voter fraud in their own areas. But it’s indicative of the mentality that the Democrats know what’s best for us, despite our own wishes. If they are so far ahead in the polls and they’ve got a solid agenda that’ll get them elected, why do they feel they have to cheat?

No Democrat has been elected to the Presidency with more than 49% of the vote since 1976 – for a reason. Most American voters know the Democrat platform is intellectually bankrupt and potentially harmful to the nation…and Democrats themselves know it. The only way they can win is by cheating.

Thanks for the info, Jonn. The local media outlets down here in Richmond were too busy fawning over former mayor Tim “The Brow” Kaine’s vice-presidential prospects to pay attention to this story. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this was going on in Richmond.

This could get big but will the MSM cover it?

Hussein O heard the voter fraud and Kaine in the same sentence and directed his staff to immediately contact Kaine about the VP slot. The leader of the voter fraud party in Va is a perfect match for the voter fraud/mob connections of Hussein. Two pea brains in a pod.
