The Left and 9-11
While we pause to remember the people who died nine years ago this morning in New York City, Arlington, VA and Shanksville, PA, it is hard for me to avoid reflecting on the total morons who’ve sullied the memory of that morning. Like this dink at Democratic Underground who tried to demonstrate to us that Rosie O’Donnell was right that fire can’t melt steel.
Or the mental midgets at Veterans Today who tell us to NOT remember 9-11.
Or the Southern Poverty Law Center which prefers that we remember 9-11 for the supposed bigotry it spawned.
Or the Iraq Veterans Against the War who ask us to remember who we were BEFORE 9-11. Since they block us, here’s a sample;
I’ve seen the effects of the nine years since September 11th, and the biggest damage has not been in the loss of the towers, or even the loss of life. The greatest damage, as in ancient Greek tragedies, is not in what others do to us, but in what we have done to ourselves. We prided ourselves on our civil liberties as a country, but now our words, our books, and our movements can be watched without any justification in the name of Terrorism. We talked of openness and tolerance in every part of our lives-but now, in the heart of New York City, prejudice rears its ugly head and people who should know better conflate a religion with an act. We are losing the best parts of ourselves out of fear.
Yes, the worst result of that day was this supposed bigotry and not the loss of thousands of innocent Americans who were punished for merely being Americans, or more accurately, being in America that day. And I guess that’s not a form of bigotry at all, is it?
Category: Liberals suck
Today is a day for remembrance of the dead. Those who died simply for being America and those who died as heroes trying to save them. It is also a day to remember those who have died to ensure that it never happens again. God bless them all.
I REFUSE to allow idiots like those mentioned above to sully what this day should mean. Just for today, I propose we simply ignore them. We can return to kicking the shit out of them for being idiots tomorrow.
I will never forget. I will never forgive.
I can still remember that day as clearly, even MORE clear, than many of those in my life.
That reminds me of that rocket scientist who drew pictures of “how” airplanes should crash on lined paper he probably stole from school. That one was priceless!
Would you have thought, nine years ago today, that we would have journalists who would say we “overreacted,” a political ideology that would try to hamstring our troops for the sake of politically defeating the President, and their “President” who looks at today as a “day of service” and terrorism as a “man caused disaster” while denying that Islam had anything to do with it?
The Left….Fuck them all as far as I’m concerned.
“The Left….Fuck them all as far as I’m concerned”. So well said, Marooned, that I can’t find anything to add.
These people are really stupid. Steel is made with fire, all they have to do is watch the show, How It’s Made.
We had a freeway overpass destroyed by a gasoline tanker a couple years ago, it melted when the tanker exploded and burned, at I-75 and Nine Mile Road outside Detroit.
What I found most ignorant about the twoofer’s claims was the “discovery” of traces of thermite in the wreckage of the towers. Well, let’s see now. Anyone else remember what’s in thermite? Magnesium. Aluminum. Titanium. Zinc. You know, the sorts of materials used to build airliners. Used in elevator construction. Used in office furniture. Used in the construction of things like skyscrapers. Sigh.
I BURNED A QUR’AN today,,,,in my mind, and will burn many more as I will forever remember just which religion it was that spawned these godless freaks, and of which religion it was of those who danced in the streets that day. GOD Damn Them ALL!
AW1 Tim — No, the NEW story now is “nano”thermite. It’s magically delicious!
9/11: A day on which leftists wish more Americans died.
Please tell us that’s a burning Q’oran in that picture there
[…] The Left and 9-11 – This Ain’t Hell […]
Good lord, yet again Obama himself today uses this sacred day to pontificate about not being swept up in anti muslim/islamic hatred, etc. etc. blah blah. Once again proving that contrary to their cries of being such heavily persecuted victims in the U.S. and the world, muslims/islamists enjoy support never before accorded other racial/ethnic groups throughout our history during times of war.
Can’t he just remember this day for what happened and all those who lost their lives instead of continually trying to earn brownie points with the muslim world/community.
(banging head against wall over and over and over…..)
Well Tman, at least he didn’t say the previous administration messed up his T-time by making him have to make a speech on one of his Saturdays.
That sound you hear is me banging my head with you.
Someone recently told me that I intentionally misread what he wrote for the sake of argument. I wrote back and said that if I misread something it was clearly not intentionally. In my unbiased opinion, I believe that you have misread the article from Veterans Today. Despite all the rhetorical blah, blah, blah, it is not saying to “not” remember 9/11, but it seems that is what you were incensed to read it as, or perhaps misread it as for the sake of argument. Hmmm…. after this I may have to stop reading your blog.
Guess what Joseph. You know all those ‘heart felt’ and “touching” messages of ‘tolerance’ from obama and friends?
All on deaf ears. When was the last time you heard muslim groups outside the U.S. (and even in the U.S.) express appreciation or thanks for any of that?
And those idiots in Afghanistan are STILL protesting the burning of the koran. On the third freaking day. AFTER the pastor stated he will not and will never burn a koran.
Tells you what kind of folk we are dealing with here.
As I recall an army general made similar comments on the Ft Hood murders by a devout Moslem. The idea that the values the left are promoting are more important than the lives of US citizens is an outrage and compounded by their saying nothing about the Arab world celebrating in the streets the fall of the twin towers and the murder of 3000 people with 3 passenger planes carrying men women and children.
[…] This ain’t Hell…. exposes the Left on 9/11 […]
In this day and age of political correctness, people seem to forget that there were a number of people of the islam faith in the Towers. It seems logical to me that these guys would have a koran in their desks or about their persons. Since the islamists flew planes into the Towers and the Towers caught fire, aren’t the infamous 19 going to end up in hell for buring korans? Seems logical to me. But then logic doesn’t exactly fit into liberal thinking, does it.
Yea tell me about it, for example someone on FB accused me of just blindly repeating what other were saying then then said I should watch Fahrenheit 911 as a informative source.
@spockgirl…
you completely lost me….?
As far as the Vets today article I got to about here…
However it appears that we will never see the real reasons why we should “NOT” remember this “Horrific” date and event. Remembrance is not about seeking revenge against an unproven culprit,
I guess we haven’t proven that it was Osama Bin Laden and radical muslims….The entire article was mental masturbation about the “Military Industrial Machine” again. The author took the occasion to say we should remember 9-11 for the tragedy and heroism it spawned except he seems to think the tragedy was going after the bastards that did this…and this little gem from the “article”
Remember the thousands who have blindly walked into “The Shadow of The Valley of Death” seeking to destroy a falsely accused, accused with proven false evidence, and Intel not even close to real. Intel, not investigated, an accused not given trial let alone fair trial.
Really? Al Qaeda and Osama were falsely accused with fake intel? No, I get his point, he’s talking about Iraq in which 9-11 was NEVER used as an excuse.
Did we read the same article? Jonn hit it spot on, the left would have us remember 9-11 for the supposed bigotry it spawned not the hatred that was shown to us….that’s just my unbiased opinion.
Old Tanker:
All I was pointing out is that the Veterans Today article wasn’t saying to flat out “not” remember 9/11. The writer provided his opinion as to why not remember it for “this” reason instead of “that” reason. Technically he could have left out half of the article to get his point across, but then it wouldn’t have generated as much interest… The “meat” of any article or statement that draws the reader in and raises hackles is part of the “hey look at me” attitude which seems to be favoured by some(?) political pundits (and particular … pastors…), and is necessary for them to garner attention, however ill-conceived or irrational their notions. I hope that made more sense. I’m definitely not cut out for this sh.. er…stuff.
No, it was blatantly saying to not remember 9/11 for the heinous, cowardly act it was, but for our barbaric, greed-fueled reaction in wanting justice.
Which equates to this: “Don’t remember 9/11.”
spockgirl
I realize an author will try to “hook” their audience but that article read like someone who thought they were too smart for everyone else, that alone is a turn off. As for remembering 9/11 for “this” reason instead of “that” reason is the point of this thread. Why not remember ALL of the reasons… We don’t remember the bravery of our sailors at Pearl Harbor by forgeting that it was a cowardly attack by the Japanese that caused it.
“Hey look at me” attitude which seems to be favoured by some(?) political pundits (and particular …
pastorsimams…)”. I hope that worked, tried to fix your sentence, Spock.ROS and Old Tanker:
Thank you both. My sentiment is this: To remember it. Period. Remember it… always. I should have just said that instead of what I did.
Old Tanker:
I myself cannot condone nor justify the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour, as it was a foreign nation’s stupid imperialistic tactic, for which the peoples of their country paid dearly with the U.S. dropping two nukes. 9/11 however was not an attack by one nation, and retaliation became… complicated. How can you defeat an enemy who values their religion over a mother, or child, hearth and home? I surely don’t know, but I for one will not forget that there are still men and women overseas sacrificing life and limb to do so, nor will I forget 9/11…. ever.
(I’m really out of my element here, and I think I’ve said more here than I have in twenty years.)
UpNorth:
Thanks for the correction. Ya…I know it goes both ways.
I’m calling “uncle” now. (I know the younger generation will have no idea what that means.)
