Flag burner busted in Ohio
Dr. Chiroux and TSO simultaneously sent me this article from Fox News about a 20-year-old in Ohio who was arrested for burning 19 US flags “out of boredom” on Memorial Day;
Authorities say 20-year-old Samuel Sneller of Wooster used a lighter to set the first flag ablaze May 28 and burned 18 more in the early morning hours of Memorial Day. A local Rotary Club had placed about 1,000 flags in lawns around town.
Detective Tony Lemmon says police used a search warrant to obtain copies of text messages that implicate Sneller in the case.
So, I’ll pay for a video of Matthis yawning while he burns a flag. If you can get him to text you about it, so much the better.

I was going to send this… but I really need to put GOOD things about OHIO out there! lol
I agree that we need to have good things posted about Ohio, but I think the fact that this punk was arrested is a pretty good thing. I care less that he burned a flag than I do thathe damaged someone else’s property for no reason other than he was bored. I just wish they could have slammed him with a felony.
If, at 20 years old, he’s running around burning flags that he took from other people’s property…
Give hime a little more time, HM2. He’ll figure out a way to earn a felony.
Possibly even a spot in the local morgue.
You’re right, HM2. what a stupid way to behave.

Hey, did anybody beat his ass to take care of his boredom before the cops arrested him?
One of the things that bothers me about this (other than the fact that I’ve lived in Ohio my whole life and this crap weasel lives here too) is that he probably thought he could get away with it because he was “just burning some flags”, which is not an illegal act. He gave no thought to the fact that they weren’t HIS flags, and that he was destroying personal property. Kudos to Wooster police for finding multiple ways to prosecute this POS!
The legality of flag burning will likely come up in his defense. I wonder how the judge (and jury) will consider it.
The ironic thing is that the proper way to dispose of a worn flag is to burn it.
#8 Smorgasbord,
The only problem with what you said is that this dips**t wasn’t wearing any of the flags when he burned them.
