TSO to “run” Soldiers Angels
It was announced yesterday that TSO has been accepted to the Board of Trustees of the most excellent soldier support group Soldiers’ Angels;
Soldiers’ Angels announces the appointment of military veteran, new media expert and lobbyist Mark Seavey to the Board of Trustees. Drawing on thirteen years’ experience advocating for veterans, Seavey will work closely with COL (ret) Henry Cook on legislative liaison efforts.
A strong advocate for veterans, Seavey began his career with The American Legion in 1997 as an Appeals Representative and later served with the National Legislative Commission as an Assistant Director and Grassroots Coordinator. Recently promoted to New Media Manager, Seavey serves as steward of The Burn Pit and also runs a highly-respected personal milblog which specializes in debunking fraudulent military service claims.
“I couldn’t be happier about being selected for the Board of Soldiers’ Angels,” says Seavey, who first encountered Soldiers’ Angels through his work with military blogs.
I guess this is one more excuse for him to avoid posting here. And since he “runs” This Ain’t Hell, I’m waiting for some checks to reimburse my expenses over the last four years. I swear….
But congratulations to my buddy…I guess Soldiers’ Angels and the American Legion see the potential that I saw more than two years ago when I asked TSO join us here. Now we can all wait together for that potential to come to fruition.

Dude, my intent is to run this place into the ground, salt the earth, and ensure nothing is ever built on its smoldering wreckage.
My bad on the “run” thing. I somehow totally missed that. I serve here entirely at jonn’s leisure if that wasn’t entirely clear.
Funny how every time I mention money, I’m suddenly in charge.
I think you’re both wonderful. Congratulations, TSO!
Lol. And congrats, TSO.
Nice Work!!
Mark and Jon are great fellas!!
Nice Work!!
Congratulations TSO … A good man for a great organization!!! Do ’em proud!!!
Jonn, at least I dont feel alone now as I ‘run’ a few veteran based websites and equally appreciate your fiscal positioning.
You were my inspiration for being a broke-ass blogger, Rigger.
Congrats, TSO. Hopefully, Caro will allow you to continue writing after you two tie the knot.
🙂
Congrats, I guess it wasn’t such a bad birthday after all!
Congratulations!!
Congratulations, TSO!
Congratulations, TSO! A good man for a good organization!
I am sure it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. Congratualtions!!
The stars are aligning…I may have an interview with our local USO for a paying job…woo-hoo!! You guys all rock!
HOOAH!
Way to go, TSO!
Soldier’s Angels is awesome.
I buy/contribute deployment/returning vet backpacks from them as often as i can.
I encourage everyone to do the same,
tho I hardly need mention that on this site.
Congratulations!
I’ve been trying to decide whether he needs dancing rodents (conga-rats) or pity?
He’s not ‘nice’ as someone mentioned, and he’s about to be married.
SA is lucky to have him… still between Caro, The Legion, and SA – to say nothing of the WoW world. And being a wannabe lawyer, he may lose his silly? And that IS his most endearing aspect.
Aside: I have met him, and believe me… he is at his best when he allows silly to come to the fore.
Well Mark, congrats. Soldiers Angels is a great organization.
What I wonder is, if it’s okay for a rightwing “wacko” to run an organization that helps veterans and troops then I guess it’s okay for a leftwing radicalist like Adrienne Kinne (ivaw) to work for the White River VA in Vermont? Hell no, I’m still gonna keep calling and sending letters to White River.
Drop the politics when you’re discussing SA, asshole.
Congrats Mr. T, wtg!
