Iraq Veterans for Congress

| July 19, 2010

Some people have written to me asking about Veterans running in this next election who are not like the dimbulbs who Votevets support. I’ve been keeping my eye on Iraq Veterans For Congress and they seem pretty legit, so you should go over there and check them out.

They need support getting this ad on the air;

I don’t have a problem with ANY Veteran running for Congress, but why should we focus on Iraq war veterans. While short-lived, there are plenty of Viet Nam, Desert Shield/ Storm veterans or career veterans out there that could and would do the job just as well as an Iraq war veteran. Is the country forgetting about those veterans the served in Viet Nam or Desert Shield/ Storm??

I meant the “short lived” for the Desert Shield/ Storm Vets. I almost forgot to mention those that served in areas where they are not allowed to speak of, too.

Sorry if I seem a little bitter, but it appears that the Korean War & Gulf War veterans are being pushed aside and/ or ignored any more. There’s TONS of celebrations for the Viet Nam vets and a bunch for the Iraq & Afghanistan war vets. Not so much for Korea and Gulf War vets……

#4 Thor:
I remember where I was the moment I heard about our advance on Iraqi forces at the commencement of Desert Storm.
Korea was before my time.
If you served in either of those conflicts…thank you for your service.
