Encouraging a race war

| June 29, 2010

I really don’t know what people are thinking. Courtland Milloy, a columnist for the Washington Post wrote a piece last week entitled “Tolerance of white militias exemplifies racial double standard” in which he teams up with our dearest buddy, Mark Potok, to fan the flames of a race war;

Since Obama took office last year, the number of white militias has shot up from about 170 to more than 500, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors extremist groups in the United States. Armed with enough firepower to take on a police department, some of these groups are honing their sniper skills using photographs of Obama for target practice.

They cling to the delusion that the nation’s first black president is somehow a subversive working for Muslim extremists, and they aim to bring him down.

“If the people we saw running around armed to the teeth were black, I think their organizations would be destroyed in a matter of hours,” Mark Potok, director of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Project, told me. “If people saw on their TV screens photos of black militia members shooting at images of a white president, I don’t think they would last.”

Of course Potok sees racists in his closet and under his bed. That 500 number of “hate groups” is completely manufactured as we’ve shown in the past. If the number is manufactured, so is Potok’s and Milloy’s fear. And Milloy admits that his false outrage was ginned up by Chris Matthew’s “The Rise Of The New Right” propaganda piece.

As Potok said, “There’s a huge amount of anger, and what we are really lacking at this moment is a kind of spark.”

It appears to me that Potok is more than willing to provide that spark. Potok’s manufactured outrage and tendency for hyperbole as a fund raising scheme has the potential to create unreasonable fear on both sides of his hoped-for war. If some crackpot tried to warn about the rise of Leftwing terrorists in the pages of the Washington, they’d have been unceremoniously tossed out on their ear. So why is Milloy allowed to churn out this crap?

Yeah, I seem to recall seeing a bunch of white people outside a polling place and they were armed with clubs to intimidate voters, during the last election………oh wait, my bad, that was members of the New Black Panther Party and they were intimidating voters outside a Philly polling center. Granted, our venerable Attorney General put the kibosh on the charges that were being prepared in the investigation by the Justice Department, so it really didn’t happen even though there is video footage. Also, when the NBPP showed up down in North Carolina during the LaCrosse players fiasco, they weren’t carrying BB guns, or when they marched in Houston. Plus, the security force for the Nation of Islam, which numbers several hundred, doesn’t carry mace under their feshly press suit coats, either.

No, Potok is dangerous because he’s not just a race-baiting moron, but because people actually listen to him.

Old Trooper–I was going to say something, but you summed it up pretty well.

I don’t believe for one second that a group of angry blacks shooting at the face of a white president would automatically result in them being summarily dismantled. That’s baloney. Show me where it’s ever happened.

Potok is a clown. Not to be taken seriously.

“If the people we saw running around armed to the teeth were black,

Why don’t you just go look at Obama’s old stomping grounds in Chicago…

JimmyRock

Just more of the left’s agenda. Oh, but wait, since we are a bunch of right-wing extremists, saying the left has an agenda must mean I wear a shiny tin-foil hat.

NHSparky

It really upsets me that I’m somehow the enemy, yet military members in general are some of the most color-blind people I know.

Do these people REALLY want a race war? Is that what they want–an, “I told you so” moment? Talk about self-fulfilling prophecy.

Scott

Gotta step up the fearful rhetoric in light of yesterday’s SCOTUS ruling.

Blue Cyclone

Potoks’ words,

“If the people we saw running around armed to the teeth were black, I think their organizations would be destroyed in a matter of hours,”

I wonder who would do that, the Justice Department doesn’t seem to care about voter intimidation by Black Panthers armed with billy clubs outside polling stations. Of course they aren’t one of his designated “hate groups”.

Just another example of Potok’s statements that have no basis in fact, just his own warped ideology.

How’s about the several training camps with closed and guarded perimeters in our own nation where black muslims are training for revolution? remember the articles a couple years back? Reporters tried to enter one in Virginia and got surrounded by a mob of armed folks?

Potok and his crapweasels are race-baiters of the same mold as Julius Streicher. They do it because it earns them big bucks. For every “white racist” or “militia group” they can point out and holler “J’Accuse!” their bank balances go up through grants and donations.

I’m honestly surprised that the SPLC hasn’t been hit with some serious lawsuits or a RICO indictment over their actions.

Hell, their founder, Morris Dees lives in a multi-million dollar home, openly flaunting the wealth he’s made off the backs of American taxpayers through lawsuits.

For a look at how big a racket the SPLC is, see here:

That home is a multi-million dollar residence? He paid too much.

“If the people we saw running around armed to the teeth were black, I think their organizations would be destroyed in a matter of hours,” Mark Potok, director of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Project

Tell that to someone who lives in a CITY.

Old Tanker

After checking out the house I know why it’s the Southern Poverty Law Center….they’re robbing people blind…

Junior AG

“If the people we saw running around armed to the teeth were black, I think their organizations would be destroyed in a matter of hours,”

Just to echo many sentiments heard hear, Potok, you douche-nozzle, ever hear of the Crips & Bloods??? They’ve been in business since the 70s, toolbag.

Valerie

Hmmm…Race-hustling pays well.

GI JANE

Poverty Law Center is made up of a bunch of guilt-ridden white liberal race-baiters. Everytime I see that slimeball Morris Dees running his piehole, I gotta take a shower. They see racism–real and imagined–EVERYWHERE.

Equal opportunity! Why should the New Black Panthers have all the fun!

Ah yes, Morris Dees, the great “civil rights icon.”

In his 1991 autobiography, “A Season for Justice,” Dees writes that in 1957 he ran for the Alabama State Assembly on the “States’ Rights Democrat” platform. The States’ Righters were a “segregation forever” party endorsed by Strom Thurmond’s Dixiecrats.

In 1958, Dees becomes the Youth Coordinator for George Wallace’s first gubernatorial campaign. Apparently, Dees thought it was important to get Wallace’s racist ideas out to children, even though they couldn’t vote.

In 1962, Dees defends Montgomery Klansman Claude Henley in AG Robert Kennedy’s federal court. The previous year Henley led a mob of one hundred Klansman against a Greyhound bus carrying about a dozen black and white Freedom Riders.

Even though LIFE magazine published pictures of Henley in mid-rampage, Dees was sympathetic to the cause and offered to take the job for only $500 dollars. (Dees jacked his fee up to $5,000 when he heard that another lawyer wanted $15 grand to take the case). http://wp.me/pCLYZ-F

Henley walked out the courtroom scot-free, Dees, who was already a millionaire at the time, and didn’t need the money, cashed the dirty check and Henley’s victims got nothing, least of all justice.

Dees’ law partner, Millard Fuller, (not to be confused with Millard Farmer), wrote in his autobiography that Henley’s lawyer fees were paid by the Montgomery Klan and the local White Citizens’ Council.

Some “icon”.

So it’s hardly surprising that NOT ONE of the SPLC’s top ten, highest paid executives is a minority, much less an immigrant. http://wp.me/pCLYZ-3r

While the SPLC displays a “diverse” Board of Directors on its website, including Julian Bond, all of the Directors, with the exception of SPLC Co-founder Joe Levin, are unpaid advisers with no impact on SPLC policy or personnel. It’s nothing more than simple PR “brown-washing”. http://wp.me/pCLYZ-p

The last “Whites only” sign in Montgomery hangs in the boardroom of the SPLC.
