Mojave Cross replaced
The Washington Times reports that someone else sneaked up on the hill in the Mojave desert and replaced the cross that was stolen last week;
A week after a cross was stolen from a Mojave Desert war memorial that played a key role in a recent Supreme Court decision, a different cross was discovered early Thursday morning at the same site.
The National Park Service said in a press release Thursday afternoon that the replica cross would be removed.
Late Thursday, Mojave National Preserve spokeswoman Linda Slater told reporters in California that the new cross is illegal and must come down.
I’m getting dizzy.

Someone needs to tell Ms. Slater that it was illegal to take down the one that was there in the first place and to pull her panties out of her ass.
Someone should check Ms. Slater’s garage for the original cross.
This whole thing is starting to take on an almost comedic air. Argue…argue….steal…return….what the frak is next?
It is not on private property now? Why does the NPS have anything to do with it?
Bravo to whoever did it. If ‘they’ take it down, then put another one up. Keep it up!
If I understood them correctly yesterday, if the cross were the original, which is historic and covered in the recent Supreme Court ruling, then it would be replaced in its mount, complete with box over it, until the 9th Circuit reconsiders the property transfer. BUT since it is a replica, the new cross is NOT covered in the SCOTUS decision and can’t be mounted in the brackets because that would be a violation of et cetera, et cetera. If the 9th Circuit rules that the property transfer was legal, then the replacement cross can go up.
Yeah, it sounds like serious hair splitting to me, too.
“Serious hair splitting”? This is classic, over the top, hair splitting. Now the 9th Circus Court can say, “nothing to see, it’s a fake, move along folks”.
