No, this isn’t about height-challenged Brits. Sorry, just had to throw that out there.

New “lawful orders” wrinkle – new billboard financed by Defiance.org and Whistleblower Aid, urge troops to “Only Obey Lawful Orders”.

Public-facing campaign materials describe the effort as a joint initiative combining billboards with posters and digital outreach and pointing servicemembers to a web portal for guidance and referrals.

A separate report describing the Florida rollout states the billboards were placed near MacDill Air Force Base and near installations in/near Doral. Military.com

The campaign says service members should consult legal guidance if they feel orders cross the line of legality (which is a right they already have anyway.) In and of itself, this just repeats the Code of Conduct and UCMJ. I do, however, expect that at least a few Snuffies may decide on their own to disobey uncomfortable orders because they think they can, rather than should. Might prove to be a poor decision. The article has more info on the folks behind the campaign.

More Minnesota daycare news. One of the day-cares was broken into, vandalized,  and its records stolen.

A Somali-run daycare in Minneapolis was broken into and vandalized, with “important documentation,” including records related to employees and children at the daycare, being reported missing.

The break-in occurred as a national spotlight continues to shine on Minneapolis and daycare facilities run by Somali immigrants in the wake of massive fraud allegations.

Nasrulah Mohamed, manager of Nokomis Day Care Center, told reporters Tuesday that the facility was broken into overnight Wednesday. He believes the incident occurred between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.  Fox News

‘Cuz there is NOTHING on the stolen-goods market paying any higher  than hot day-care records.

Yet another underseas cable has damaged by a “neutral” vessel dragging its anchor off Finland. This time, though, authorities were johnny-on-the-spot.

Finnish police said in a statement that the vessel suspected of causing the damage was found with its anchor chain lowered into the sea in Finland’s waters, while the damage site itself was in Estonia’s waters. The police later named the vessel as the Fitburg, a Saint Vincent and the Grenadines flagged cargo ship.

The Finnish National Police Commissioner Ilkka Koskimäki said at a news conference on Wednesday afternoon that all 14 members of the ship’s crew have been detained, adding that the crew are citizens of Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

The damaged cable runs between Helsinki and Talinn, Estonia. The ship had just sailed from St. Petersburg, Russia. Authorities boarded with

Finnish media reported that the ship was seized by special forces police and the coast guard from helicopters.  CNN

Let’s close on a high note, so to speak.

Dominic Critelli says he feels like playing his sax is like a fountain of youth. Me, I wouldn’t argue with a  WWII veteran who has the chops to perform the Star Spangled Banner at an NHL hockey game – at the age of 104.

Decked out in a custom-made blue and orange Islanders jersey with No. 104 sewn on the sleeves and back, Critelli took a seat near the boards, with a stand and sheet music in front of him. Proudly wearing a World War II Veteran baseball cap, Critelli wet his lips and began playing the National Anthem on his beloved sax. As he approached the end and the “home of the brave” portion of the song, Critelli hit a long, drawn-out high note, proving those 104-year-old lungs are still strong and healthy.

Yeah, over 17,000 fans gave him a standing ovation. And his Islanders won, beating the Rangers 2-0.

Saw the video of his performance – in uniform – when it first dropped.

I may have misjudged the utility of the obeying lawful orders campaign. It will could help self identify early those idiots who married a stripper while high, bought their used Mustang at 48% interest and then became morally indignant when ordered to jump into Taiwan on Chinese D Day.

The head of the daycare center says all his records were stolen and the NewsMax guy looking at the video of the head of the datcare center says he is wearing glasses worth $2,000.00

Send a couple of Gold Badged Treasury Agents to the case and watch them work.

Rental agreements, utility bills, common area maintenance, refuse removal, real estate taxes, property taxes, EFT deposits and transfers, payroll compliance reports, workers comp insurance, parking spaces, income tax returns… haha, yeah, right, Elliot Ness will get right on it.

Hell, Minnesota and not a snow shovel in site.

Love to be part of those audits, their asses would look like an iron ore pitt if they manage to live through it.

I guess the “burglars” cut the cement blocks at the base of the wall out, entered and took all of those “records”, then put the cement blocks back in the wall?

Reddawg_03

so, just an observation. Why would the insulation be on the inside of the building if I was coming in from the outside? It looks like it was pulled INTO the building after the cut was made on the inside……..
