I avoided trips through Lawrence, whenever possible. At least certain sections. Too many folding chairs in front of derelict businesses. Feel bad for the folks who thought life would be better, when they got there.
Many Muslims won’t salute their own flags, stand for national anthems or other such nationalistic practices because some segments of Islam believe that it either imitates worship, or follows the practice of non-believers. The only thing they recognize greater than themselves is Allah.
The more secular ones do all that. But I don’t think we want people taking up public service related jobs if they don’t believe in things greater than themselves. What would be the point?

I stay at Hamptons when traveling with my furry companion, they’re one of the few with a decent doggy policy. I might have to research a better option. I can’t abide kicking reservations because of someone’s job. They rent to the online whores without complaint. They can rent to law enforcement. Their job is to provide lodging.
To be fair, Hilton acted in less than 24 hours when the news broke. The franchise agreement is being terminated so they aren’t going to be part of the Hilton company any more.
Basically, the hotel was bought by four Indians and they thought they were above reproach.
And there it is…..Pakis/(dot) Indians.
I’ll have to do some deeper research into hotel management whenever I go on vacay.

I wouldn’t believe any opinion from that DC medical examiner. I watched the video of her being beaten down to the ground by a female DC cop with a baton. And then there was a mob cops pushing the crowd over her in that narrow tunnel. You might want to consider what people who were there and tried to save her have to say they observed.
