“Boots” Next Netflix Flop

Fabulous New Netflix Series
Touted as a “coming of age dramedy” Boots was inspired by The Pink Marine, the memoir of former US Marine Greg Cope White. The series follows a directionless, closeted Cameron Cope and his best friend Ray McAffey as they join a diverse group of Marine recruits. Together this ensemble navigates the literal and metaphorical landmines of boot camp, forging unlikely bonds and discovering their true selves in an environment designed to push them to their limits. Oorah.
Pentagon Slams Netflix’s Gay Teen Marine Series ‘Boots’ as ‘Woke Garbage’

The Pentagon is calling out streaming giant Netflix over its new military series Boots, which follows the story of a gay man enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps in the 1990s.
The Pentagon accused Netflix of pushing an “ideological agenda” with the series, according to the New York Post.
“Under President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, the US military is getting back to restoring the warrior ethos. Our standards across the board are elite, uniform, and sex-neutral because the weight of a rucksack or a human being doesn’t care if you’re a man, a woman, gay, or straight,” Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson told the paper.
“We will not compromise our standards to satisfy an ideological agenda, unlike Netflix whose leadership consistently produces and feeds woke garbage to their audience and children,” the statement added.
The gay military series debuted on Netflix early this month a week after War Secretary Hegseth unveiled the administration’s new personnel standards.
If anyone is asking why, and who thought this was a great idea, former US Marine Greg Cope White is an executive producer of the thing. Rotten Tomatoes critics love the series, gushing “Miles Heizer’s terrific performance has the right stuff in Boots, a likable dramedy that explores masculinity and queerness to powerful effect.”
DOW has a different spin. In a media release, press secretary Kingsley Wilson stated, “We will not compromise our standards to satisfy an ideological agenda, unlike Netflix whose leadership consistently produces and feeds woke garbage to their audience and children.”
Sadly I already fired Netflix, choosing to spend my money elsewhere in response programming like this. I’d fire them again if I could.

In the rear with the gear will have a new meaning…
Folk into Marine2Marine action on-screen went overboard on R. Lee Ermey’s “reach-around” comment.
All Netflix is capable of producing is shit. I expect this masterpiece will attract DOZENS of viewers.
When the eagle, globe, and anchor falls into a bowl of fruity pebbles, you get Boots.
I watched the first few episodes over my wife’s shoulder. It wasn’t more than a few minutes before I was pointing out all the things that were wrong, “that’s not how it happens,” “that isn’t right,” “nope, not even close.” Not knowing the premise of the series beforehand, it only took a few minutes to realize that many of the characters have gay tendencies, probably because the writers have gay tendencies. I stopped looking over her shoulder after the second episode. She stopped watching soon after.
Some of the scenes look to have been filmed aboard Parris Island and that would have required Marine Corps approval. If that was the case, I hope that approval has been withdrawn.
Emergency I used to watch on TV knowing that it wasn’t up to par with fire fighting. Sis watches 911 fire I think it is called and I watched a couple of minutes involving a “job” and WTF ran through my head as I watched things that weren’t the way to fight a fire. I thought that after all these years from watching Emergency, Fire fighters have new gear, better rigs, new and retro hand tools but where were the tech advisors. Maybe scenes had to be shortened due to the timing of the scene. Sis watches this stuff and when I commented on the operation, she got all excited and tells me that it’s only a TV show…When I switched Volly Depts, The Capt. Tells me, with 2 cans and a 6 foot hook, you can knock down any fire as long as you get there early enough and was the motto of Ladder 2. got lots of chuckles telling that. Another one was about the old fire triangle before the new tetrehedron. the old triangle was heat, fuel and oxygen to support combustion so one of the guys says the fire will go out if you remove the 4th item and I say, whats the 4th and he says, remove the chief. great saying that in front of a chief…Sorry about going off on another tangent.
You don’t want to get anyone all fired up….

Meanwhile, Hamass ignores the whole idea of peace and publically executes a few people:

No surprise, those fleabags are the same breed of animals as the taliban!
Who’s surprised? Anyone? Anyone?
Nevermind the mattress. I don’t think the person trying to
load it into the vehicle could fit themselves.
That is not a mattress, that is a box spring, which is even more rigid than an mattress.
Roger that.
So many great stories they could have covered from the military, but Nietflix had to go with the gay story.
Are they even a business anymore?
I don’t think their goal is to make money.
They also have a new lesbian cop show. That was the breaking point for me. I have met literally dozens of female law enforcement officers and only come across one gay one. Yet they want to spread a trope that female police officers are gay, that is when they become the problem. No worries though, Netflix cancelled easily.
“O”s– psychos, lezbos or nyphos– you’d think they’d stop that about women in uniform in this day and age.
Well, many of them are, especially the ones in management positions, such as chief of police in major cities.
True… and a rather active LT at my unit in Germany did become a pornstar, but I’m not generalizing.
Isn’t the Obumer’s involved in Netflix board of directors?
The people who run Netflix must be like granola, get rid of the fruits and nuts, then all you’ll have left is flakes!
Has anyone actually watched it?
I binged the series during one of my frequent insomniac nights.
The whole gay thing is a pretty minor plot point in the show, thankfully. I gave it 7/10
But….it’s not my Marine Corps. We don’t even have one. So I cannot vouch for it’s authenticity.
MRS D and I watched the whole thing last weekend. It waqs entertaining, I’ll give it that much. Not being a Marine, I had questions of various procedures (particularly rifle range operations), but I’m ignorant of how the Corps does things. I just took it for what it was, entertainment, not an autobiography.
I’m thinking Stanley Kubrick was more realistic with dudes in England than these folk were with dudes in actual Parris Island, and I’m Army.
Netflix’s The Broke Back Mountain of the Marine Corps
The faggotry abounds, especially in the video media.
Since circa 2015 or 2016, professional critics loving a movie or TV series has been a pretty good indication for me that I won’t like it.
Heartbreaking Example:
I intend to fire them, as I have seen everything they stream worth watching.
I am shocked, shocked to find HollyWierd doing their usual Slouching Towards Gomorrah.
Yea I stumbled on this. It’s soooo bad.
Cancelled Netflix about 3 years ago…and can’t really say I even miss it. Been watching Angel lately. Hit or miss shows/movies but I can leave it on and not worry about my kids getting DIVERSITY AND REPRESENTATION forced down their throats
I never got netflix. I was never a fan of subscription tv channels to begin with but when the obamas got involved it made the decision to ignore it very relevant.
Everything Netflix does always involves a gay character, a Trans character a strong female
And a dumb white guy..
