President Trump cuts Democrat programs as government shutdown continues
President Donald Trump announced that many Democrat-favored federal programs have been ended. Trump declared that these programs will not resume when the government reopens… These programs that were never wanted. He also emphasized that the Democrats made a big mistake with their failure to work with the Republicans to work towards reopening the government.

“They made a mistake,” Trump said, according to Florida’s Voice. “I think they made a big mistake.
“We’re ending some programs that we don’t want,” he continued. “They happen to be Democrat-sponsored programs, but we’re ending some programs that we never wanted — and we’re probably not going to allow them to come back!
“This is really a [Senate Minority Leader Chuck] Schumer [D-N.Y.] shutdown because he’s become sort of irrelevant and he wants to make himself relevant again!” Trump added.
The president reportedly made his remarks aboard Air Force One during his flight to the Middle East, where he is set to celebrate the U.S.-brokered ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas and urge regional allies to seize the opportunity to build lasting peace and stability.
After departing Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Trump was welcomed in Israel on Monday, where he addressed the Israeli parliament before flying on to Egypt for a summit on creating the conditions needed for lasting peace in the Gaza Strip.

As for the release of the remaining 20 hostages, that is a fantastic result, Biden got 140 hostages released. Also a fantastic result.
By “cease fire is fake” do you mean there is no cease fire? Because there is a cease fire. True, Hamas did publicly execute a bunch of local militia members, to wildly cheering crowds, of those who opposed them during the war but they weren’t included as part of the cease fire agreement. That is an internal matter for them.
Also Biden made no such deal for any hostages. Please explain? Do you mean the deal that Adam Boehler worked out before Trump was in office? That never would have worked without Trump’s representative because he was assuming office and the entire world knew that. Anything that Biden might have said was going to be worthless in a few weeks. With Boehler on the ground he was able to work out what was going to be possible.
Regardless, the ceasefire collapsed almost immediately, just like all the other cease fires that the Biden State Department tried to work out. It took another eight months of work to get it figured.
I would agree it is temporary. The Palestinians won’t be pleased until everyone not like them is dead or they are all in whatever heaven awaits them.

The January 2025 hostage releases weren’t agreed to by both Hamas and Israel until 15 January 2025 – well after Trump became President-Elect and began pressuring Israel to agree to the deal.
Here’s the breakdown of living hostages released from captivity in Gaza by Hamas/others under the January 2025 Gaza cease fire agreement by number and month/day:

Given how long negotiations had dragged on (since May 2024), I’m willing to bet that without Trump joining in pressuring Israel as President-Elect that hostage/prisoner exchange doesn’t happen until well after Trump became POTUS47. So attributing the release of those 30 unfortunate living individuals to the Alzheimer’s Patient in Chief’s administration is at best an error, and at worst is a deliberate falsehood.
I’ll let everyone decide for themselves whether you were being lazy and sloppy above (e.g., didn’t bother to do much if any due diligence) or were simply lying.

I really hate to post this, but….. in case anybody’s missing the obvious….

IMO this allegation is very premature. Spreading unproven rumors is counterproductive.
Here’s why I hold this allegation premature.
1. Israel believes there are 20 hostages whose remains have yet to be returned (8 sets of remains have been returned, but it’s unclear whether one is in fact that of a deceased hostage). Based on Israel’s demonstrated intel abilities, I tend to believe that’s all there are.
2. The names of these individuals have allegedly been made public (presumably the eighth set of remains that have yet to be definitively identified/ruled out as a deceased hostage explains the discrepancy of 1, since this list includes 21 names). Based on an Internet search on these names, all but one of these individuals appear to be male (the exception is Inbar Hayman, who photos indicate was definitely female).
3. Best I can tell, the seven identified bodies previously released by Hamas were all male.
4. Some of the Israeli female hostages released alive have reported that they were sexually abused. Had Hamas wanted to hide that fact, those individuals very likely wouldn’t have come back alive. The fact of Hamas’ use of sexual violence during their October 2023 attacks also has previously been published.
5. While Hamas has in the past done some things that defy rational explanation, it seems unlikely that they’d try to hide a single case when several living female hostages have already reported receiving sexual abuse.
Bottom line: I’m certainly no Hamas apologist; IMO they should all burn in Hell. But I’d take this claim with a huge grain of salt, and wouldn’t believe it until it’s proven. I might give it some credence if the remains of the sole known remaining female hostage are returned in the future and show evidence of torture and sexual abuse.

The cease fire is not fake. However, I do think you’re right on one thing. It won’t last long. Why? Not because of Trump. The number 140 is absolutely not accurate (see my other comment on the matter in this thread).
However, a relatively large number (105) of living hostages were apparently released by Hamas during the first Gaza cease fire in Nov 2023. So to give the Poster Boy for Alzheimer’s (or more likely, his mindlers) due credit, at least that many were released under that “wonderful” Administration.
Like all the previous “cease fires” and Israeli victories it will last until Hamas et al. rearm and rebuild their tunnels.

Will the cease fire last? I guess that depends on who gets froggy first. Jews have been hated and despised since before the birth of Jesus, or shortly thereafter. In other words, for a very long time.
As far as who got this many or that many hostages released, I’m pretty sure they, the hostages, would rather not be counted like a score in sports. The real victory is the cease fire, for as long as it lasts.
