I didn’t have it, but anyone stationed in Europe at that time is on the Red Cross “no donation” list.
I was checking out the Red Cross website a while ago and the prohibition for donating blood by persons who have spent time in Europe was lifted in 2020. I was in Germany in the early 90’s and I fell under that restriction for a while, I’m being told by the voices in my head that I can donate blood now. As they say, YMMV
