Leading off the parade we have Special Operations Command, who are buying a new AR variant rifle from Lewis Machine & Tools (LMT) chambered in 6.5mm Creedmoor.

On August 22, 2025, the Pentagon announced that a $92 million USSOCOM contract had been awarded to Lewis Machine & Tools Defense for “medium range gas gun-assault kits.” The 10-year contract also includes spare parts and accessories, new equipment training, and engineering change proposals.  We Are The Mighty

Basically this is just an AR-10 (the big brother to the AR-15) chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. While the cartridge does have a bit of a ballistic advantage over the 7.62 NATO (supposedly 1200 meter range vs. 800 meter) for practical purposes where most of us live there isn’t much difference other than the logistics issues. LMT generally makes a good product, but even they have occasional production hiccups – their entire production run of rifles sold to Estonia had to be recalled for inspection of their gas system components. SOCOM is already using the sniper variant MSGG-S rifle, this adds the “assault” MSGG-A to the list. How often non-snipers would worry about having their range extended to 1200 meters is not addressed.
Then we have the Italian fella who is trying to break the Guinness record for the fastest car run on an ship by wheeling a Ferrari F-90 around on an Italian aircraft carrier.
Barone eased himself into the supercar, then drove back and forth along the length of the deck several times to warm up its V-8 turbo engine. It roared louder with each pass as he pushed its 1,085 horses harder and harder. Then he placed himself at the far end of the 236-meter (774-foot) flight deck and awaited the all-clear.Military.com
Who knew the Italians HAD a carrier? (Turns out they actually have 2 – interesting list at Carrier count )
I would worry lots more about warming up the tires and brakes – any idiot can get a really fast car UP to speed, but stopping it is a bit more vital. Especially when the consequences are a probably-fatal drop to the ocean. I thought a 427 Cobra could easily whoop his butt, but a 1987 Hot Rod test said it took almost 1500 feet.  There is a British kit car which did 0-100 and back to a stop in 235 meters, so maybe it could be a bit faster,  but with more deck the F90 might be able to stretch its legs a bit more, too.
And then we have Jasmine Crockett. We’ve spoken of her privileged child private school upbringing which belies her street-tough image, and God knows she has said a few things which were, say, logically challenged – but she is outshining her earlier efforts.
“And I do think that I’m in a unique situation because I was having the conversations with people that were going out and committing crimes. And so, I understood what was kind of pushing them there. And so, I do want people to know that, just because someone has committed a crime, it doesn’t make them a criminal.”Fox News
Well, she does have a law degree and is an official lawer, but let’s just say her interpretation of the law is suspect. Committing a crime MAKES you a criminal, and arguing that because you were desperate it doesn’t count…what is next, do-overs?  What would we do without her…

The only conversation you should have with “people going out and committing crimes” should start with “You have the right to remain silent….”

Jasmine Crockett is a walking, talking epitome of STUPID!!! In some circles, if I said that, I’d be labeled as a racist because I said that about a black woman and I only said because she was black.

However, she would be Fn stupid regardless of what color she is, what ethnicity she is, what gender she “claims”, etc.

I heard her say the other day that people who commit crimes shouldn’t be labeled as “criminals” because might have a good reason to be crimming. Like they might have to steal some diapers and some baby butt stuff because the baby has diaper rash. I guess they never heard of medicaid, diaper banks, TANF or any of the other programs for free diapers.

Just out of curiosity I checked and sure enough diapers and baby butt stuff are not in the top 25 items shoplifted. It is more like make-up, toiletries, alcohol, candy, small electronics etc. Diapers weren’t even on the list As of yet, even with hundreds of shoplifting arrests I have yet to come across someone stealing diapers. Not saying it has never happened, just never seen it.

I’m gonna get in front of it. If someone steals the diapers for a baby rash I will not call them a criminal.

Committing a breach of the criminal code is the very definition of a Criminal Act, and therefore makes one a FUCKING CRIMINAL.
I got that out of my first year Criminal Justice Textbook. Word for word, in fact.
Ipso facto, vade retro, ergo munday, satchmo padre.

No mention of the aviation branch being reduced 20% and being replaced by drones? I’m sure the pilots will be well pleased not to have to fly anymore and then taking a job in maybe maintenance?

I would think that very soon we will have the name Jasmine Crocket as the definition of stupid in the dictionary with a picture to confirm the identity.

Is Jasmine Crockett related to Johnny Cochran? She kinda makes the same arguments…..
