Waco Police: Fatal April shooting was in self-defense, shooter no-billed
Christopher De Los Santos
AMcLennan County grand jury on Thursday declined to indict the person investigators believe fatally shot Christian Hicks, 51, in April. The shooting was determined to be an act of self-defense, according to a Waco Police press release.
Officers responded to Hicks’ shooting at 6:18 a.m. April 2 in the 100 block of Apple Lane, and he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died, police said at the time.
A woman was brought in for questioning but was not arrested in the case, officials said in April. Police did not say whether she was the person no-billed by the grand jury Thursday.
Police previously provided a different surname for Hicks but released a corrected name Thursday, the release said.

Not a lot of detail available, seems it was a residential incident of some sort.

I’m guessing that the eternal 1911 shown above is in honor of KoB and his love of all things JMB (HBHN).
A sentiment well deserved, and much appreciated.

My preferred sidearm, open or concealed.
You don’t have to worry about dropping one, other than on your own foot. Still lovin’ my Springfield version with the parkerized finish. Bought that one in 80s, in Maryland. It’s a little too hot down here in Texas to tote it around except in winter.
The mass of chassis is just right for minimizing recoil with comfort for extended range sessions.
You might think that there would be some public ranges in Texas? I’ve never seen one.
Pennsylvania is about as good as it gets for public ranges and game lands… that I know of.
There’s gotta be a joke in there about a country Hicks, and the Apple not falling (thud!) far from the tree.
But I’ll let a’y’all fill on your own blanks (which I’m sure Hicks wished had been used on him instead of the real things)

Especially if it is empirical evidence espoused by a Major leftist.
