Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a stabbing and shooting incident that occurred at 13910 Nitida Street about 6:40 p.m. on Sunday (Sept.1).
The suspect, Keith Levale Strange, 40, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 230th State District. A booking photo of Strange, who is hospitalized, is not available at this time.
The female victim, 43, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at the above address and found the victim suffering from a stab wound and the suspect with a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported both individuals in stable conditions.
Investigators learned an argument started after the suspect (Strange) was asked to leave the location. Strange then stabbed the victim, a family member, with a kitchen knife and lunged at the victim’s husband with the knife. That male shot Strange once.

So today, we have a “full house”, 1/1/1.
Doesn’t seem to happen that much any more.
Strange days, indeed.
Mr. Stabby met Mr. Shooty. Lucky he’s not DRT.
BZ Ms Thang. “…shot in the chest.” Yeah, that’ll do it.
Sorry Jerry, the nightmare has just gotten worse.
Iffen I can get my Happy Azz ’bout thirty five (35) miles up the road, there are some Ruger Products awaiting me. Home boy’s schedule hasn’t meshed with mine…yet.
Somewhere lost the underline emphasis on Mr Strange.
And yes, he is indeed fortunate to be alive.
But do you think he’ll be thankful to his victim for not killing him? (rhetorical question)
Go figure, I have that same model of PC Carbine. We did get in the new LC Carbine in .45 ACP while I had off earlier this week. Tempting, but I guess I’ll hold off until after the holidays.
For those with a pistol grip shotgun, Ruger Carbine (PC or LC), or AR, the Cabela’s Discreet MSR Case | Bass Pro Shops is a good choice. I bought one each for my PC Carbine and the Winchester 1300 Defender I picked up a couple of months ago.
Oh, and I’m not trying to advertise for the multi-billion-dollar company I currently work for. I just like posting deals or decent products that work for the guns we all tend to lose when our Tracker boat sinks due to poor build quality or (more realistically) a forgotten plug. Due to some events last week, I expect to be gone soon. I follow federal, state, and local laws, and gladly follow company policies I know about, even if I don’t agree with them. The problem is that many of those “policies” are unwritten, and any of you who are former NCOs know that we like to see things in writing and take ownership over our interactions. No, “I’m sorry, I can’t do this because they told me not to.” Rather, “I’m sorry, but according to [reference], we are unable to do this.” I’ve spent nearly two years butting heads with management because they say we can’t when I know that legally we can.
“I’ll follow the policy when/if you can show me where it’s written”.
I pulled out the regs/policies many times with my leadership. When the Iraq Campaign Medal was authorized in 2005, my 1SG stated that those of us previously awarded the GWOT-Expeditionary Medal were authorized to wear both. I wanted definitive authorization, and finally found a FAQ on HRC’s website stating that only those deployed to Kuwait for 30 days prior to the Invasion (19 March 2003) could wear both. I eventually had the GWOT-E removed from my records, as I’d arrived in Kuwait around the 26th of February. I also unsuccessfully used the regs to debate with my reading-challenged MSG and Fires Chief about the awarding of the CIB for indirect fire in Afghanistan. Same for the two JSUAs awarded to JTF-NCR in 2020 and 2021. I wrote many of the joint orders but in the end was on the Army side of the house, so no joint unit awards for me.
In 2018, when my company commander arrived back from the TRADOC 1SG/Commander’s Course telling us about stuff he’d learned, I had TRADOC Reg 350-6 pulled up. Come to find out, Drill Sergeants can’t restrict caffeine intake, only tobacco and alcohol, so I started manning the coffee station during chow to ensure our Trainees had ample energy, and openly encouraged them to buy energy drinks at the Shoppette.
It’s the same thing at work: tell me I can or can’t do something and I want to see it in writing. Once I do, it’s game on one way or the other. If it’s not in writing, it’s opinion or hearsay, and someone above my level can communicate with affected parties.
IMHO, the only firearm owner ID card needed to possess a firearm in this country is a birth certificate from the US, naturalization documents or a passport proving US citizenship.
I like the older mini-14 with the furniture.
One for the stupid people post, perhaps, but involves guns… Colt Gray’s father bought him an AR-15 for last Christmas AFTER he was obsessed about school shootings and got questioned by the authorities for making threats about it online (plus it was an abusive/broken family situation, for the bonus points):

Couldn’t help myself, I ordered the Ruger Security-380; with .mil discount it was $4 over cost using my Club card. I haven’t had the best experience with my Security-9, but it’s getting better as I continue to shoot it. The first few mags saw failures to feed, possibly due to me inadvertently engaging the slide stop (as a lefty). My LCP Max is a go-to backup for me, replacing the Kel-Tec P32 that I carried 15 years ago.
Ruger is unique in that it’s always been the “almost there” manufacturer (in my opinion). They’ve made some really good firearms throughout the years, but I’ve always considered them to be second tier to other manufacturers. Maybe it’s in the naming conventions: the Security series (revolver or semiauto) just seems at home in the holster of an underpaid security guard. Actual cops will carry a S&W or a Glock. Maybe it’s timing: the PCC (now the PC Carbine) was all the rage when it was released in 1996; finally, there was a carbine that could use the same magazines as a service pistol. Maybe law enforcement would ramp up sales of the P-series pistols. A year later, the North Hollywood Shootout helped convince police that rifle-caliber carbines were probably a better option. The PC Carbine still makes for an excellent mid-range option for those of us carrying Ruger or Glock pistols, and the market is obviously still there, with S&W, Kel-Tec, and other manufacturers making pistol caliber carbines (we sold our only .45 ACP LC Carbine yesterday, so maybe I’ll get the next one), but Ruger missed the mark for mass sales to LEOs. I’d dare to say (despite owning an AR-556 myself) that their AR platforms take a back seat to more established AR-15/AR-10 manufacturers… even S&W.
But for now, I just have to wait on my Security-380 to get in and take it, the Beretta 80X Cheetah, LCP Max, and Lorcin. 380 to the range, along with a brick or two of ammo.
I have one of those, but it has the front end with the AR Style MLOK handguard, but in 9mm. It shoots fine, but let me tell you (Or maybe you don’t need to know because your wallet will get a cramp) There are so many goddamn accessories you can get for the PCC and I swapped out a lot of the internals, including a rubberized buffer pad for the back of the Bolt carrier group, Some additional colorized hardware on the outside, etc. etc..
my apologies in advance fm2176
