Cerritos Homeowner Shoots Suspected Burglar
A homeowner in Cerritos took matters into his own hands and shot a suspected home intruder Saturday afternoon.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives responded to the 11000 block of Shasta Circle to investigate the shooting that occurred around 1:44 p.m.
The burglary suspect was transported to a local hospital where he is in extremely critical condition, according to authorities.

Both drivers facing charges in Cambridge road rage shooting near boathouse
Two cars at the scene, near the MIT Sailing Pavilion, appeared to have bullet holes in their windshields
Both people involved in the road rage incident will face charges in the incident.
Two drivers are facing charges after a road rage shooting on Memorial Drive in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Sunday, police said.
State and local police responded to reports of gunshots on Memorial Drive near the MIT Sailing Pavilion shortly after 5 p.m. A large police presence was seen after the incident took place.
According to State Police, the two drivers who were involved in an altercation did not know each other before the incident occurred.
Authorities say one of the drivers, 65-year-old Cesar Gutierrez, of Revere, allegedly struck the other driver, 30-year-old Kevin Osorio, with a blunt object. Police say Osorio then drew his gun and fired multiple times at Gutierrez.
Authorities say Osorio has a license to carry a firearm.
Both Osorio and Gutierrez were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Cambridge police described what happened as a road rage incident and noted that state police would be investigating, since Memorial Drive is overseen by the state.
Both men are facing charges in connection with the incident.

Road rage incident.
Be nice to have a time machine to go back a few hours to find out what started this mess. Who did what to whom. But after a certain point, it just becomes two immature children having temper tantrums at each other but with deadlier toys and deadlier results.
One would think that a firearm is a much deadlier toy than a “blunt object”. Black and Mild or Hava-Tampa? Is odd that the state where citizens defending themselves FIRST started now the state will lock you up for defending oneself. The commiefornia citizen may find himself in hot water for defending his home also.
