Google D-Day, Hamas pier, more gunz
Google does a daily “Doodle” above its search bar to commemorate historically significant events, artists, or cultural artifacts. Let’s see, what happened June 6th? Anything significant?
“In honor of Pride Month this Doodle celebrates Chicana lesbian activist, feminist, and author Jeanne Córdova,” Google stated in its entry about the figure.
While the world honored 4,400 allied soldiers – men from America, Britain, Canada, France, and other western countries – giving their lives confronting Nazi defenses on those beaches, the tech company did not choose to commemorate them or their actions with their logo.
Instead, it stuck to its Pride Month-themed content for the “Doodle.”
A Google spokesperson told Fox News Digital that Google has made sure to honor D-Day in other ways on its site, stating, “We recognize the solemn importance of the 80th anniversary D-Day and the enormous sacrifices of our service members, and over the years we’ve curated multiple Google Arts & Culture exhibits to honor this day.”
“over the years we’ve curated” I think means “more or less ignored”, don’t you?
There’s a reason many folks have changed from Google to – well, anything else.

“Earlier this morning in Gaza, U.S. forces successfully attached the temporary pier to the Gaza beach,” Vice Adm. Brad Cooper, deputy commander of U.S. Central Command, told reporters by phone Friday. “We expect to resume delivery of humanitarian assistance from the sea in the coming days.”
Cooper said operations at the reconnected pier will be ramped up soon with a goal to get 1 million pounds of food and other supplies moving through the pier into Gaza every two days. Navy Times
Wonder how many poor folks in the US could use some of that food. You know, our folks. The ones who didn’t attack women and children, take and kill hostages. Bet a few hundredweight of aid would help their lives, too.

Google is a Big Tech company. Big Tech companies largely hire younger people who are “visionaries” looking towards the future. Increasingly, those younger people either identify as LGBTQETC or as “allies” of such. D-Day is in the past. 80 years in the past. Those 4400 Allied soldiers were mostly heterosexual White men. While revisionists would try to convince us that heterosexuality wasn’t as common a trait as we’d like to think, there’s a term that wouldn’t exist in the Millennial/Gen Z vernacular if our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents weren’t straight and active young men and women: Boomer.
The Gaza supplies show how humanitarian our government truly is. While Americans are unable to afford healthy food or even housing, while we welcome in thousands upon thousands of illegals who leech off the resources that American citizens might otherwise have, we are in the unique position to give away billions of dollars in aid to foreign countries. Joey the Janitor might work 60 hours a week and subsist on ramen, but by God, his tax money is sending bags of rice and other goods overseas to be appropriated by terrorist organizations.
Guns? Never heard of them. They’re scary and loud in the movies and I could never see trading my hard-earned dollars for something as unnecessary as a means of self-protection. Rather my money goes to the Middle East, Eastern Europe, or somewhere else FJB and his ilk see fit.

When I went through my qual course for a Nevada CCW, there were folks in the class REQUALIFYING who didn’t know how to load their pistol! The instructors had to help one senior citizen by loading his gun for him!

I use DuckDuckGo for maybe 90% of my searches, for fairly commonly searched items it’s great. Unfortunately for the esoteric, deep-in-the weeds searches I have to use Google.
I use proton mail out of Switzerland. They don’t read your mail like google. And DuckDuckGo for searches too. I hate advertising related to my personal mail. I hate being snooped on too.
