Fatal shooting at Houston apartment complex to be reviewed by grand jury
HOUSTON, Texas — A fatal shooting that occurred at 1441 Wood Hollow Drive around 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, is set to be referred to a Harris County grand jury. The identity of the deceased male is yet to be confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The shooter, a 34-year-old male, was unharmed in the incident. According to reports from HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective A. Hernandez, HPD patrol officers arrived at the scene to find Houston Fire Department paramedics providing medical assistance to an unresponsive man with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the apartment complex. The man was later transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation revealed that the deceased had knocked on the door of an apartment and, after several minutes, the tenant opened the door. The tenant informed the man that he was at the wrong apartment, at which point the man pulled out a gun. Fearing for his own safety and that of a witness, the tenant, who was also armed, fired his weapon multiple times at the man.

Seems like many places also have “poor DA selection” skilz too, Tox. Tho it is a crime to have a ham sammich without cheese.

With a witness to verify the situation, why the need for a grand jury? DA must be a liberal, can’t have people defending themselves. More tax dollars to the wind.
Yeah he is and is also a proponent of no or low bail for offenders.
