by: Madylin Goins
MAYFIELD, Ky. (WDKY) — A body discovered nearly 25 years ago at the bottom of a Kentucky lake has been identified thanks to the help of DNA technology. On May 6, 1999, two fishermen found human remains in Kentucky’s Lake Barkley. State police said that the remains were wrapped in heavy tire chains and anchored by a hydraulic jack.
“At the time, investigators were unable to identify the male using traditional investigative techniques,” KSP officials said in a news release.
The body was exhumed in 2016, and examiners exhausted their options for identification. A profile was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Person System (NAMUS).

Through advanced DNA testing, a relative of the unidentified person was located, which allowed investigators to identify the remains as those of Roger Dale Parham.“In 1999, Parham was residing in Fort Smith, Arkansas. At that time, Parham was awaiting trial on various criminal charges. In March of 1999, Parham disappeared and was thought to have left the area in an effort to flee prosecution,” KSP said.

Parham was arrested on November 21, 1998, on charges of rape involving a minor.

Man shoots, kills suspect in self-defense during attempted robbery in LaGrange, police say
It happened Wednesday night. Police are investigating.
LAGRANGE, Ga. — A man was shot and killed early Wednesday night in LaGrange, police said.
According to the LaGrange Police Department, the victim was identified as Jonathan Daniel. The department said officers responded to a home on Garfield Street, where they found that “Daniel had suffered a gunshot wound and was later pronounced deceased.”
The investigation by detectives revealed that Daniel and another suspect, Antonio Stephens, tried to rob a man at gunpoint. Police said Daniel pointed his gun at the victim, which is when the victim pulled out a gun and shot Daniel, killing him.
Stephens was arrested on Thursday and charged with felony murder in the death of Daniel, police said.

Maybe some friends of the rape victim decided to take the law in their own hands.
Daniel is not a victim, he FAFOd himself to death.
Yep…and who amongst us would NOT iffen that was OUR Baby Girl? I like to think that the delivers of Justice in this case use something like that Randall to great effect in skinning before they wrapped his ass in chains and gave him a deep water bath.
Ol’ Daniel found hisself in a Lions Den…and it didn’t work out as well for him as it did the other Daniel.
Ike was right…in so many ways.
fify.

Wow….🤣
Sheriff’s Department said it was the worst case of suicide they’d ever seen.
A clear case of an application of The Four Esses.
Especially the last Ess….Shut Up.
Hopefully the deliverers of justice to the raped girl are never found out. And have created a “solid” alibi by now (just in case, ya know?).
The po-po may suspect, but what proof or evidence is there after six months underwater, then another 20+ years buried, exhumed, reburied, (re-exhumed?)? The po-po just barely figured out who the fish food used to be. All that technical whiz-bang that you see on the TV (CSI, Bones, NCIS, etc) is just HollyWierd TV make believe.
In the interests of transparency in shoot-sail-sink, shooting isn’t really required at all.
Glub.
Meanwhile, liberals…
Parham got swift justice. The victim didn’t have to suffer the indignities the lawyers would have put them through.
Daniel forgot he was not at the Chicken Ranch.
Minor correction,LaGrange PD, Daniel was not a “victim”, not in any way. He was, however, a recipient of all that he deserved.
Must be why my temporary Jim Beam drinking Yellow Lab liked swimming in the lake all those years ago. He probably got a taste of chomo and savored the thought of dead predators. I lived with an Army buddy in the Rockcastle Shores community for a while, not on the lake, but a street or two from it. The dog loved running out and coming back muddy and wet from his adventures along the shores.
Come to think of it, the now-doggone Husky was the third dog I kept for my sister. I had my Sentra bottomed out driving from Richmond to Cadiz, loaded with my mechanics’ tools and the Lab and German Shepard after my sister had to move to an apartment.
If that Randall knife is a vintage one that is over thirty or forty years old, it could be worth about $2K.
You can order a new one from Randall for about $600. But you will have to wait six years for your knife to be made.
