I’m hard pressed to think of a more selfish and cowardly act then to force another to finalize one’s own suicide.

Po-Po believes this was a targeted attack. That’s some mighty fine police work right there. Thanks again, Gun Bunny.
Give me until the end of the year and I will be able to control the chaos in Gaza, … Now that the Israeli pullout is completed, we will be able to better deal with the problem.

Well said.
“I’m hard pressed to think of a more selfish and cowardly act then to force another to finalize one’s own suicide.”
I’ve been present after a suicide has been successful. The long-term effects on families are immeasurable. Fortunately, I did not experience “suicide by Cop” and know of no co-workers who did either.
One of my calls during the early part of my career was a suicide, reported by the deceased’s father. His son was a long time mental case they had been dealing with for years. One day while he was in his apartment alone he decided to stop being alive with the help of a 12 gauge under his chin. His Dad called him and when he got no answer came by finding the results. I felt so sorry for the Dad. He was both sad and relieved from what he said. I have never forgotten that scene or the Dad and it’s been close to 50 years since.
Where did you work? I was on Long Island, NY. Roughly 40 miles East of Manhatten.
Damn shame the popo had to do what the nutjob couldn’t do.
“Targeted invasion”? Make a target out of the invader. And practice to negate the target v chase off.
Mr. Abbas just didn’t say the end of which year.
plink, plink, plink, plink, KA-BOOOM! “DaHell was that?” “Oh, that was just The Gun Bunny sneaking onto the range with a proper caliber!”
I like the pop-pop-pop-Whoom of shooting black powder .45Colts on a range full of 9mms. If the noise doesn’t startle them the white cloud does.
Always a question when reading these ill-written “news” stories of home invaders; random selection, or targeted invasion?
Don’t matter, don’t care.
You invade my house either because you’re feeling froggy, or because you think you saw something that you want (& don’t wanna work for it)….well, I’m’a gonna do my bestest to put you down like the rabid dawgs that you are. Hope your health & life insurances are paid up, mine are.
These days it seems to be getting to this point.
Caller: I’m in a bad way. I don’t want to live. I have a gun. I want to kill myself. Go ahead and send the cops!!
Dispatcher: Well, we’re booked up until Friday night…maybe we can squeeze you in Saturday morning….say, 12:05AM??
File under “Why cops drink.”
Wish I knew a way to make a response to a suicide better for everyone.
Crockett, Texas has been a pretty small-type East Texas town, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t drug dealers, ex-boyfriends, and other stimulants to un-neighborly activity at work.
