Sources say two teens shot during attempted robbery, may be connected to other crimes

by Alexa Ashwell
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Sources tell FOX45 News two teens were shot during an attempted armed robbery, and may be connected to other crimes committed that same night.

According to the Baltimore Police Department (BPD), a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old walked into an area hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds around 8:43 pm Saturday.

Sources confirm the teens were shot during an attempted armed robbery that had occurred minutes beforehand and about one mile from Johns Hopkins Hospital, on North Patterson Park Avenue, and may be connected to up to three crimes that occurred in the southeastern district.

Over the police scanner you can hear officers piecing together the string of crimes that had happened within just one hour.

Shootout follows robbery of Santa Cruz cannabis facility
Police weighing charges against business rep after early-morning shootout

By JESSICA A. YORK
SANTA CRUZ — A pre-dawn robbery evolved into a shootout and vehicle chase Monday through the Harvey West neighborhood.

Both police and a business representative for an industrial cannabis facility on the 300 block of Encinal Street were put on alert when burglars tripped a security alarm at the site prior to 4:30 a.m., Santa Cruz Police Deputy Chief Jon Bush said. The business representative, however, arrived at the facility ahead of officers, catching at least two thieves leaving the site. The representative apparently attempted to apprehend the thieves by ramming his car into one of two believed fleeing vehicles, according to Bush.

“At some point, shots are exchanged between the victim and the suspect, and vice versa, is our understanding,” Bush said. “The suspects ultimately ended up fleeing. They’re still outstanding.”

A Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office deputy soon after located one of the vehicles, a white SUV with rear-end damage, abandoned near northbound Highway 17’s Pasatiempo exit. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of the Bay Area, Bush said.

MIRanger

Sounds like this Santa Cruz business is run by some folks that have been in the business for longer than it was legal and may have not forgotten their old ways…or just did not have insurance.

Good chance on all that MIRanger. Could also be they knew the perps would be long gone before the popo got there. Hell of a note when defending yourself and/or your property will get you arrested quicker than being a thief.

Those misunderstood young lads were just trying to collect money for new choir robes.

Nice video follow up to a print FGS. Damn a Less Lethal Launcher. Give me a launcher of the type designed by HMS JMB (HBHN) every.damn.time!

Hey Marion, how you gonna have a police car on every sidewalk when those sidewalks are crowded with hookers and crack dealers?

Firing the seven (7) rounds and then throwing the damn thing may at least keep their head down while you get to a real pistol. Anybody notice a pattern here this week? “…works best a little wet on the inside, …” That’s what she said.

If you want a metal mousegun, at least go with a Seecamp.

I love that quote in the article, you dont buy a Bryco 38 to save money, you buy it because you dont have any money. The Bryco/Lorcin/Jennings/Ravens were in all the pawn shops in Hinesville in the early ’90’s, along with Mossberg 500 persuaders.

Po folk need sidearms, too.

I have been broke a few times. Quite familiar with some older bargain basement blasters.
