Bowie Knife

Caution.

No charges filed against shooter in death of SC man, deputies announce

Stephanie Moore
GRAY COURT, S.C. —
A South Carolina man will not face charges after deputies say he shot and killed a man who “presented himself in a menacing and threatening manner with a weapon.”

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded on Oct. 16 to Barnyard Road in Gray Court for a shooting.

After an investigation, authorities say it was determined that prior to the shooting, there was ongoing threatening behavior and domestic issues occurring between David Dale Arrington of Gray Court and other individuals living in the area.

Deputies said Arrington did not comply with the resident’s request to leave and continued toward the resident, attempting to tackle him to the ground.

The type of weapon Mr. Arrington was carrying wasn’t mentioned. Didn’t much matter though, all it got him was room temperature. Thanks again to our own Gun Bunny and Old Tanker.

The video and the article emphasize the need to provide, “…death occurred from multiple gunshot wounds…”, when one presents himself “…in a menacing and threatening manner with a weapon.” Shoot until he knows he’s dead.

The good Baron foretold the future that is our present.

Who doesn’t love a real nice “rib tickler”? How’d them “common sense knife control” laws work out back in the 1830s? Probably enough “Bowie Knives” in the TAH Community to melt down and build a nice Ford Class Aerial Artillery Delivery Platform Vessel…

Any of you rich folks out there own a Randall knife? Care to share any opinions of it as far as wear and tear – i.e. non-display knife?

Don’t own one, but I knew ‘Bo’ Randall briefly prior to his death [88 or 89]. I used to park in his driveway, during my midnight shift, to write my incident reports. If he saw me, he would bring me a cup of coffee. While he was alive, his products were all handmade. His son took over after his death and turned the business into an assembly line business. People have told me that the later knives are not up to the same level of quality as the ones that came out during Bo’s lifetime. Being a poor po-po, I could only salivate at those toothpicks.

I have my father’s Randal #1 from the late 50s. Used it on active duty. Continue to use it for several decades of life in Fort Livingroom. Still a darn good knife.

Randals are definitely on my “highly recommended” list.

Very fortunate you are too be certain.

“All it got him was room temperature”. Nice!
