2 injured in gunfight after attempted robbery at Lithonia-area gas station
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – Two people have been hospitalized after police say they started shooting at eachother during an attempted robbery outside a DeKalb County gas station Thursday evening, police say.
It happened just after 8:15 p.m. at the QuikTrip located along Covington Highway near Lithonia Industrial Boulevard. DeKalb County Police say officers arrived at the gas station, but did not find any victims.
While asking witnesses about the incident, two people arrived at an area hospital.
Police say a 27-year-old man suffered shots to the abdomen. He was listed in serious condition late Thursday evening.
A second man, who is 24, was shot in the neck and was stable, police say.
Friday morning, police say they believe both men “were engaging in risky behavior” when one tried to rob the other.

Blake Avenue in South Linden around 9:15 p.m.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police have identified a man who was fatally shot after allegedly attempting to break into a home in South Linden Friday evening.Columbus police officers were called to the 1400 block of East Blake Avenue around 9:15 p.m. on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Delmar Ward suffering from a gunshot wound.
Ward was pronounced dead on scene at 9:25 p.m.

Pro tip…If you must travel thru the ATL area, plan your fuel/food/rest stops for well before or well after transitioning. If you must stop, head on a swivel, be armed, and have someone in overwatch.
