HPD: Woman shoots, kills man who tried to break into her home in Spring Branch
Houston police said the woman is cooperating with officers. They believe she fired in self-defense.

A woman shot and killed a man Friday she said was trying to break into her home in the Spring Branch area, according to the Houston Police Department.HPD said the woman, 41, is cooperating with investigators. They believe she fired in self-defense.
This happened right after 7 a.m. in the ABA RV Park on Jacquelyn Drive near Long Point Road.
Police said the man, 53, recently moved into the community and he and the woman had just met.
Police are not sure what the motive is behind the break-in.

Police: Convenience store customer shoots would-be robber

CASSOPOLIS, Mich. (WOOD) — A customer shot and injured a man who tried to rob a gas station convenience store in Cassopolis, police say.It happened shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday at the Stone Lake Marathon on S. Broadway Street at Water Street. The Cassopolis Police Department said the suspect tried to rob the clerk, at which point he was shot by the customer “several times.”
When police arrived, they found the customer still holding the suspect at gunpoint. The suspect was taken to a hospital in South Bend, Indiana.

Woman shot 2 men who broke into South City garage, police say

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – Two suspects were reportedly shot by a homeowner in South City after breaking into a garage early Thursday morning.According to police, the homeowner was in the rear garage, which she is temporarily living in, when the two men broke in just before 3 a.m. When one of the men charged at her, she shot him and ran out the door of the garage in the 2100 block of Stansbury Street. The second suspect then started fighting with her, and the woman reportedly hit him with her gun and he was shot in the hand.
