Man shot by police on east side after pursuit in stable condition, IMPD says

John Tufts
Indianapolis police shot a man Saturday afternoon on the city’s east side after they say he rammed a stolen pickup into three police vehicles.

The shooting, which followed a police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle, happened in the 300 block of Poplar Road
near Michigan Street and Emerson Avenue.

The man shot by officers was listed in stable condition, according to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Lt. Shane Foley.

Shortly before 5 p.m., officers located a stolen Ford F-250 near East 19th Street and North Campbell Avenue. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver of the pickup rammed the police vehicle. The officer in that vehicle suffered minor head injuries.

Officers again located the pickup and a pursuit ensued. The pickup driver then backed up into a police vehicle, injuring an officer’s legs before the driver struck a third vehicle, injuring an officer’s arm, Foley said.

The good news- all three officers were expected to be released from the hospital that evening. Unlike the perforated driver. Thanks again for the links, Gun Bunny.

A Canadian man has been charged with murder after killing a man who was apparently attempting to rob his family home. It happened on Feb. 19 in Milton, Ontario. Police say that around 5 a.m., a group of men “intent on committing a robbery” approached the house where Ali Mian lived with his single mother. When the men entered the house, they were reportedly confronted by Mian, shots were fired, and one member of the group was killed. Mian is now facing second-degree murder charges.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In a statement to news outlet CP24.com, Mian’s lawyer, Jag Virk, said his client “shot at an intruder that broke into his home and attacked his mother.”
Looks like the Left made up a “day of hate” or mumble-something those right-wing dastards were Up To! last Saturday.
Did a single neo-nazi figment photo bomb any presstitutes? Reliably, real NNs are camera hogs.
Totally made up, and the Leftoids forgot to stage their cosplay cross-dress “rivals”.
Oops.
Hope the Canadian Boy gets a fair trial, and I do mean the kind with rides and games and lots of attention! This young man was defending his family from people that wanted to do them harm, not just take everything they worked for. They need the media to form that circus and show people what is actually going on! Wouldn’t be surprised if the bandits worked for the government.
Inspector Callahan must have really turned dirty to afford that sucker.
Running from the popo just makes one dead tired. Thought the State Patrol (so apropos they are referred to as “State Police” in The PDRofTaxachussettes) only chased speeders on the Big Road?
Add stolen trucks to list of what to not take to a gun fight.
Come in my AO threatening me and mine? Yeah, I’ll take my chances with a jury…that is, if they can find the body. Feral hawgs got to eat too.
When you spend decades dumbing down the population….
I see you fed them pocket pistols some of them blue bullets and caused them to swell up.
I foresee a brisk uptick in smuggling……
Oh, and if any ammo manufacturers have any say in the matter, stop selling to the Illinois PTB.
Nothing to the po-po. None to the NG. And especially none to any private security guards.
Serialize individual rounds? Really?
I take it that the year of manufacture stamp on the bottom of the casing doesn’t count.
In the early 80’s, I was given the dream job, of being allowed to fire a Korth .357, with as much ammunition I could afford…which turned out to be a lot.
The heavens opened, and the rays of the sun warmed the mirror like blued finish, and glistened off the polished grips of fine Turkish walnut. The action can not be described outside of…god-like. Accuracy was on par with my Python, which is excellent. The silky smooth and greasy glass feel of the trigger, and the precise clicks of the bolt, made the experience a true zen moment. More like a true zen 3 hours.
Careful inspection of the metal, showed absolutely zero machine marks, spotted bluing, nor flaws in the wood of the grips. The sights adjusted with the precise “tic-tic-tic” and no wobble, of very well engineered machinery.
The day was certainly on par with my first kiss from a beautiful girl, or at least my first beer. Either way, it was a time I will always cherish  😘
The only big one I saw being fired at the range back in the 70’s was an Automag that put out some flame compared to the sparks that flew out of my S&W Mod 14, 6 in. barrel .38 with an installed Bowmar rib and rear target sights for Police L bullseye shooting when I was a member of the Brink’s shooting team. I did my own reloading and corn cob media was always in the casings hence the sparks. In Actual matches, we used factory semi wad cutters…
