Classified documents found in Mike Pence’s home

| January 25, 2023

Mike Pence’s home in Indiana contained classified documents with classified markings on them. These documents were turned over to the FBI. The article goes on to state that Pence is in the same company as Trump and Biden. The article continues with statements about Bush and Obama turning over classified material upon the conclusion of their presidencies.

From Reuters:

The attorney, Greg Jacob, sent a letter to the National Archives on Jan. 18 notifying them of the documents and in a separate letter on Jan. 22 notified the Archives that the FBI came to the former vice president’s home to collect them.

The discovery puts Pence in the company of his former boss, former President Donald Trump, and President Joe Biden after documents with classified markings were found at their residences.

Jacob said in the letter dated Jan. 18 to the National Archives that “out of an abundance of caution” Pence had engaged outside counsel to review records stored in his home after reports about the materials found at Biden’s residence.

“Counsel identified a small number of documents that could potentially contain sensitive or classified information interspersed throughout the records,” Jacob wrote in the letter.

“Vice President Pence immediately secured those documents in a locked safe pending further direction on proper handling from the National Archives,” he said. Pence’s counsel did not review the contents of the documents once they were determined to be marked classified, the letter said.

In a separate letter dated Jan. 22, Jacob said the Justice Department “bypassed the standard procedures and requested direct possession” of the documents at Pence’s residence.

With agreement by the former vice president, FBI agents came to his Indiana home at 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 to collect the documents stored in the safe, Jacob said.

Biden, whose documents dated from his time as vice president, and Trump, who resisted turning over the items, leading to an FBI raid, are both facing special counsel investigations by the Justice Department over improper handling of classified materials.

During a presidential transition period, the records from each administration are supposed to be turned over to the legal custody of the U.S. National Archives. It is unlawful to knowingly or willfully remove or retain classified material. Failure to properly store and secure classified material poses risks to national security if it should fall into the wrong hands.

When I first heard of this, I got a different take on it.
But if Pence himself looked for and then ensured the security of potentially classified/sensitive documents and self-reported, that is more honorable than the PINO.

Heard a radio commentator talking about who in the PINO-puppetmasters is coordinating the ‘revelations’ of the PINO’s collection of decades worth of stuff. Like they are trying to ditch him, then Kackle, to install someone else.
Does this smell of a Clinton/Obama Mob hit job?

Yep. Dump Joe, The Ho takes over. Ho appoints Mooshelle as VP, Ho gets dumped, Mooshelle takes over and we finally have a blaq man as prezzy. Soros grins.

If it is marked with any classification markings, he should not have had it outside of a secure facility at all.

Hillary said you can remove those markings.

Bitch was wrong too.

“What difference does it make now?”

It all depends on what your definition of “if it is” is.

So now the DNC lackeys in the mainstream media will start to say it’s an everyday occurrence except when a Republican does it!

I wonder if Obama has any stashed away.
Nah. That would be like finding his birth certificate.
Or college transcript.

The thing is, they all do. I’ve been saying that since the kerfuffle about Trump. Which is also what Trump said about documents that Obama took. They all leave office and grab everything not nailed down, so they can write memoirs and fill the shelves of their presidential libraries.

What the hell is so difficult to grasp about not taking classified material outside of a proper facility actually approved for storage of said materials? Burn this motherfucker too. Which might actually happen, since he is not a socialist democrat.

That’s exactly what I think. If Biden was in possession of classified documents during his time in the Senate, then later as Vice President, he wouldn’t have the same protections a former President would.

Pence should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, just like Biden…and Hillary – for that matter.

(I’m not holding my breath that any of these will see the inside of any courtroom though.)

At this point, what difference does it make? As demonstrated time and time again, politicians are not held to the same security standards as military personnel. Between Chinese spies driving around Senators for twenty plus years, other spies banging Democrat politicians, Hillary Clinton putting all of our State Department secrets on an unsecure server that everyone and their sibling who self-identifies as a brother, and Hunter rifling through Joe Biden’s porn/classified document stash in the garage, everything that we hold as sensitive information is already in the hands of our adversaries.

With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans some classified documents missing. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night …

When the DeMSM sez “CLASSIFIED”, most everyone automatically jumps to (OMG!) “Top Secret/SCI”.
There are several classifications of “Classified”, to include (but not limited to):
“Unclassified” – every day crap. Meh.
“Confidential” – slightly higher, but not by much
“Secret” – Just what it sez, handle with care.
“Top Secret” – nooclear grade stuff. Handle with care. Sign out, read, sign back in ASAP.
“Top Secret/SCI” – highest grade nooclear stuff, “eyes only”, go to jail, etc.

So when the DeMSM starts ranting about “Classified”, ask, “what GRADE of Classified?”

Yeah, I was thinking For Official Use Only (FOUO) myself. FOUO is a legacy classification and is no longer used. Now we have:

  • SBU. Sensitive But Unclassified; now being replaced by:
  • CUI. Controlled Unclassified Information

A veritible goat-rope of multiple categories and subcategories that must be included.

Well at this point I think it’s a safe bet that whatever is going on in the executive branch with respect to document retention represents a systemic failure on just about every level….

I would not be surprised, based on recent events to discover that even since the 1978 law was put in place regarding executive branch document retention that every single president has at least one document that could be considered classified and their VPs may have some as well….

If the document retention is so very important it seems during an exit transition that someone at the National Archives needs to be present when offices are closed up and moved out to safely take control of all pertinent documents including those labeled classified in some form or another.

Unlike our news media I don’t see any sort of larger criminal act by any of these people, I see the predictable results of a system with no accountability or retention policy in place.

^This^

I bet if they start looking at Obama, Bush, Clinton, et. al. they’ll find documents in their stashes with classification markings on them. Dan Quayle probably has some in whatever office he sells extended warranties out of now.

Because he turned on Trump, Pence will get a pass on his possession of classified docs, just like the groper and a certain SOS.
