HPD: Grand jury will determine if homeowner who shot alleged car burglar should face charges
Police said the 26-year-old woman and a man were burglarizing vehicles in the Spring Branch area when a homeowner shot and killed her.

A homeowner shot a woman to death after police said had been breaking into cars in the Spring Branch area.Police said the 26-year-old woman was burglarizing vehicles with a man when the homeowner shot her multiple times. Her body was later found in a ditch on Harland Drive near Antoine Drive.
The guy she was with ran away.
Video surveillance captured a red Toyota Rav 4 driving down Antoine Drive just moments before the shooting happened.
The same red Toyota, now covered with bullet holes, was later seen being towed away.
Houston police questioned two men about the shooting but they were later released.

An employee at a restaurant in Georgia shot and killed an armed intruder in self-defense after being pistol-whipped during the attempted robbery.Police in Warner Robins, Georgia say an armed and masked intruder entered an American Philly N Wings restaurant last week and demanded money from an employee before jumping over the counter and pistol whipping the worker, according to a report according to a report from WMAZ.
The employee was knocked to the ground and began fighting over the gun with the intruder, who police identified as 23-year-old Joshua Hickey, eventually pulling out his own legally owned pistol and fired at his attacker three times, striking him twice.

The TX grand jury should reimburse for cost of ammunition expended, and dismiss all charges “with prejudice”. All for being a good citizen and “taking out the trash”.

Not so FGS. Thomas (Toe Mas), my rescued Big Black Tom Cat passed over the Rainbow Bridge today. He showed up on the porch about 6 years ago as a bag of skin and bones, but filled out nicely on the plentiful rations here. Not sure of his previous life but he had a good one here. He will be sorely missed, along with my Kay Kitty, and Pinky Girl that I lost this year. They’ll be waiting for me, on The Other Side.
Ahh…..know the feelings. Sympathies to you.

Thanks Tox, Roh-Dog and others that raised a toast to the Memory of my Furry Fellow. Toe Mas was unique, solid black, green with gold sparkled eyes. He bulked up pretty good on his rations and was like a miniature panther, solid as the Rock of Chickamauga, weighing in at almost 30 lbs. Yet gentle as a lamb to the others, kids, and hoomans. He didn’t meow in the normal sense, he kinda grunted an erp, and when snuggled up that purr box sounded like a muffled V8. He’d follow along when I walked the perimeter and was like a guard dog, 2 paces behind and to the left. Was a constant companion during my stroke recovery time and would curl up on my toes when they were freezing cold. Hence the Tom Cat to Thomas to Toe Mas. Glad I had just parked all my pictures in The Cloud, ’cause my main ‘putor just went tits up. Replacing the ‘putor ain’t nothing, but can’t replace them furbabies or pics. Down to 2 K-9s and 2 felines now. Think I’ll make a rum with rum chaser.
May comfort find you in your time of need and be assured you did a good, providing for an animal in need.
I’m glad y’all could be there for each other.
Re Texas – after dark (which it was) shooting to prevent a theft probably won’t even go to a grand jury, it’s good by law.
