San Francisco Mayor London Breed announced the launch of a new guaranteed income program for the city’s transgender community on Wednesday.
The Guaranteed Income for Trans People (GIFT) Program will provide low-income transgender residents with $1,200 each month, up to 18 months to help address financial insecurity within the community.
Additionally, the city said it will provide the same individuals with “wrap-around” direct services, such as gender-affirming medical and mental health care, case management, specialty care services and financial coaching.
According to the program’s website, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Identify as transgender, nonbinary, gender nonconforming, or intersex
- Not be receiving more than $600/monthly in income
- Reside in the City and County of San Francisco
- Be willing and able to complete a survey every 3 months, and submit a complete application.
Those applying for the program can choose from 97 different genders and 18 preferred pronouns on the application paperwork, which must be submitted by Dec. 15.
And, of course, per the Washington Free Beacon, it’s all “taxpayer money” funding it.

This program is discriminatory to trans people with small income amounts. Making $601 causes a person to lose out on $599? Unfair, discriminatory, anti-equity (and racist, just because). This shall not be tolerated.
Given the vast number of options available for genders I expect every low income person will be trans in 3…2…1…

If you have less than $600 monthly income, you don’t even have enough money to take a dump on a San Francisco sidewalk. Not sure if it was WMAL or Fox News, but one of them reported this program is not available to crackers.

Rather than recognizing the extreme privilege of being afforded exceptional accommodations so they could continue to serve, they acted like an entitled sociopath clown for years; before culminating in treason.
While I agree that the LGBTQ community should be treated equally under the law with equal rights and protections…i don’t think gender dysphoria that requires more than therapy to treat is compatible with military service.
There are hundreds of medical and mental health conditions that are disqualifying for service. Not being medically fit to serve is not a violation of equal protection.
Gender dysphoria should absolutely be one of those disqualifying conditions.
The majority of the LGBQ community serves without any need for special accommodation or special considerations.
The trans community often requires special accommodations and considerations. Occasionally exceptional and disruptive considerations.
