Talking Down the Economy

| March 7, 2008

Gee, with Today’s crappy job report only two groups are happy, the Clinton group, who blames Bush and the Obama group, who blames Bush. When, in the 2000 Presidential campaign, then Governor Bush mentioned that the economy was slowing, the democrats and their lackies the MainStream Media, jumped all over him claiming he was “Talking down the economy.” Well, here we are, eight years later, the Democrat candidates for the presidency have been running around, telling all and sundry how bad things are (exaggerating, for the most part, by an order of magnitude), and nowhere is a mention of them “Talking down the economy” heard.

The single greatest mistake George W. Bush made during his tenure as President, was his, so called, “New Tone”, which, as we know is nothing more than refusal to call a spade a spade.

Funny, I’ve been thinking about just this too. I wonder if McCain will have the courage to point the hypocrisy out?
