California homeowner turns tables on suspected burglar, dishes out nasty beatdown
The homeowner detained Provoste until police arrived at the scene

A Ventura County homeowner beat up a suspected burglar when he was caught inside the victim’s home.The homeowner came home April 1 around 6 pm to find a sports utility van parked out front of his residence with a suspect in the driver’s seat. The homeowner found a second burglar, Alexis Provoste, 43, inside his home stealing.
The homeowner began to beat Provoste before he ran out of the home to the van. Provoste was held by the homeowner until police arrived at the scene and arrested him.
Provoste appeared for arraignment Ventura County Superior Court on April 5 and pled not guilty. He was charged with first-degree residential burglary and conspiracy. He is scheduled for an early disposition conference on April 14 and is currently in custody under bail.
Provoste is originally from Chile and is a suspected member of a South American Theft Group.

A Florida teen and his sister-in-law thwarted an attempted robbery after they began to fight back.The brawl broke out after the couple “begin to physically attack” the teen, according to police reports. The victim’s sister-in-law hurried to the 18-year-old’s rescue and began to fend off the attackers as they reportedly attempted to steal his black iPhone.
The victims were hit both physically and verbally with ethnic slurs during the brawl.
“You [expletive], you [expletive], go back to Puerto Rico, you don’t belong here, you immigrant,” said the suspect. “You [expletive], dumb, [expletive], Puerto Rican [expletive],” he continued.
“We’re American, [expletive],” replied the victim.

I hope the Ventura homeowner did some permanent damage when beating up Provoste, enough to remind the foreigner of oncoming changes when when the weather turns cold & damp. Anything above that (broken bones, etc) is bonus.

And I agree with a commenter there, the (true victim) teen should have followed up his initial attack until the perp was a quivering unconscious mess. No mercy, no quarter (not even change for a quarter).
