During the incident, the driver shot his gun multiple times inside the car and the officers took cover. The driver then got out of the car and pointed his gun at the officers.

First.
17-13, Gun Bunny? I see what you did there. Even a blind goat will find a crook…or an end zone, now and again. I still think the goat may find some gainful work at that Nautically Inclined Trade School up the road.
Suicide by cop seems to be all the rage these days. My sympathies are with the dog that the nut job killed…and the people that were stuck in traffic for hours.
That rail may affect the quick draw abilities. Next thing will be a chainsaw bayonet attachment.
Pay attention here, it’s Friday. The Bunny of the Guns will be doing escort duties again today and may and/or may not be around for the dropping of the TAH Weekend Open Thread. Good Luck!
Maybe it’s just me. But putting a Picatinny rail on a revolver seems just . . . plain . . . wrong.
Yeah, it’s probably quite functional. But it’s also IMO butt-ugly and totally out of place.
You’re right. On this plain-jane 22, a rail & a threaded barrel are just WRONG. Like adding feathers to a cat. Pretty, but “WTF”.
Now, if this were one of those wheel guns used for big game, long range hunting, in a caliber that starts with a “4” and goes up from there……..I could see the picatinny rail mount. With a long barrel, possibly a threaded end, for a flash (not noise) suppressor.
But as heavy as those are to start, I’m not sure how much extra weight anyone would want to add if you’re carrying it all day.
I can’t even agree with “pretty” regarding the above firearm with Picatinny rail.
But I’m with you on the “WTF?” part. (smile)
A wheel gun with a Picadilly rail?
I’ll bet it slips out of the holster smooth as silk……
Suppressor on a revolver… right.
I saw a pick of a suppressor on a wheelgun which had a shroud covering the cylinder to keep the gasses/loud noise signature inside.
The exception to the rule. The Nagant M1875 revolver can be suppressed. When fired double action, the Nagant’s cylinder cams forward so that the mouth of the chamber comes flush with the forcing cone, eliminating the cylinder gap. Good luck finding ammo for it.
Rough Rider’s philosophy must be “If you build it [tatic-cool] they will come”
Someone will be showing that thing off at the range thinking he’s all cool (I don’t think a woman would do that) and the guys are rolling their eyeballs so hard they see last week.
