Suspected charged in gunfire exchange with Pensacola SWAT officer

Jennifer Rich
A Pensacola man was arrested in connection to an exchange of gunfire with a Pensacola SWAT officer while police served a high risk warrant early Thursday morning.

SWAT officers arrived at 2515 N. Seventh Ave. around 5:30 a.m. when the first officer inside the residence was met with gunfire, according to Pensacola Police Department spokesman Officer Mike Wood.

Wood said Corey Joseph Marioneaux, Jr., 24, fired at an officer whose ballistic shield prevented him from being shot in the face near his right eye.

The officer returned fire on Marioneaux but did not strike the shooter. Marioneaux was ultimately taken into custody with no reported injuries to anyone.

Man fatally shot at midtown apartment after confronting his ex, who had filed protective order

Ashley Jones
A man whose ex-girlfriend recently filed a protective order against him was fatally shot early Thursday after police say he kicked in her door and confronted her current boyfriend.

Officers responded about 2:15 a.m. to a shots-fired call from a midtown apartment near 12th Street and Erie Avenue. They found Christian Holdman, 21, inside with bullet wounds.

According to Tulsa Police Lt. Brandon Watkins, Holdman had kicked the door open and confronted his ex-girlfriend, who was living there with her current boyfriend.

“Holdman was armed and came at the current boyfriend, who fired at him, killing Holdman,” Watkins said in a news release.

Did I mention that sometimes when you bring a gun to a gunfight it doesn’t end well either?

Christian Hold-my-beer-man done shoulda realeyezd ‘she’s just not that into you’, yet decided to listen to little head, play the room temperature challenge, and do the dumb whilst armed.

Dude, she’s just not that into you anymore…but her new boyfriend’s bullet is. Serve that dose in a .45 syringe…as God and JMB intended…or Robert Culp as he instructed Rachel Welch in the Motion Picture Hannie Caulder.

SWAT Officer needs more range time? For sure he needs a new Ballistic Face Shield…and possibly some clean under britches.

Bay-Rhettas? I guess they’re OK. Wonder how much politics came into play with them NOT getting the Military Contract?

As a friend who is retired law enforcement/now trainer, says:
“Train, train on your own Time and Dime, and then train some more.”
I know a couple of SWAT officers in that county, and they say they are offered around 50 rounds per year for proficiency shooting. Any more they must buy their own ammo.

The ‘S’ has been replaced with ‘Suck it’, if you throw a shot during a high intensity situation you get to go to jail because ‘we gave you 50 rounds’. FFS.
Real talk, did that county give any PPP/ConVaids-1984 fundage to DSA, Drag Queen Story Time, and/or Burn, Loot, Murder?
There seems to be a trend forming…

It’s time for the unappreciated to toss the Bearcat keys to the city councils and tell them “You wanna be a hero? Has at it, Hoss!”.
