Generals and pricks
Yesterday at a Senate Environmental and Public Works Committee hearing, Brigadier General Michael Walsh was testifying on the Louisiana coastal restoration process in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Here’s the General’s Biography;
The General was testifying to Barbara Boxer, the junior senator from California. Here’s Barbara Boxer’s bio from her website;
Before the General got more than few words into the testimony, the junior senator from California interrupted him;
If she was a man, I’d call Boxer a prick, but she’s not a man and I can’t call her what we call a prick that is a woman. But my point is; the general worked a damn sight harder to get where he is – I mean look at that bio – than some woman prick who has been in Congress and then the Senate. Some prick woman who has been an “advocate” all of her life – advocating for her ego. While this general is saving the world so people like Boxer can be pricks to him.
Now look at the general’s chest (I searched for a picture of him in his greens, but I couldn’t find one…sorry it’s so fuzzy);
That’s General Walsh’s experience on his chest while that Boxer woman is sitting on her experience. Just for the record, I think generals are included in that “we support the troops” thing I hear all of the time.

Why this woman isn’t in jail STILL astounds me, considering the number of bounced checks she had during the House banking scandal in the early 90’s. Total Marin County moonbat. This woman makes Patty Murray look like Einstein by comparison.
Oh, and Senator? Pull the broomstick out of your ass, if you’d be so kind. He was showing you proper courtesy as dictated by the customs of the service, which is obviously more than you deserve. In your pathetic attempt to portray yourself as the HMFIC top dog, you just come off looking like a mangy bitch.

I gotta admit, I haven’t wondered this at all. In fact, on my list of wonderings, this is probably somewhere near “I wonder how long it would take me to figure out how to lick my elbow.” and “I wonder if Paris Hilton likes vanilla ice-cream.”
Barb needs to get a grip.
I am sure that Barby worked real hard to get there.
But maybe if Babs would worked harder for the 6.9 million people that empowered her, she would be less worried about her title.
What a conceited, self centered, disgusting, oxygen sucking, moronic, bitch.
The larger question is why she isn’t in prison for steering defense contracts and federal funds to her husband’s companies.
Seriously, there have been numerous reports of those connections, but the press (why am I surprised by this?) simply fails to follow through, and when it does, gets met by silence from both her office and the Senate leadership.

AW1: None of them are in prison for the same reason that a-hole Murtha isn’t in jail; they are “protected” due to party affiliation.

I’ve seen some on the left suggest that the use of the term “ma’am” is nothing but a code word for “bitch”…unfortunately for them, “senator” is usually just code for “money-grubbing-power-hungry-bitch”, so pick your poison.
This wench is as much a patriot as Jesse MacFake is a soldier. She should recognize the blessing that the man even spoke to her. “Pompous Ass” used to be reserved for fatcat male politicians like Murtha, Ted Kennedy, or Harebrain Reid. She’s joined the club.

I have never been in the military, but last I checked, it was SOP to address someone above you in the chain of command who happens to be female as Ma’am. Thus, is the left asserting that every military member junior in rank to a female officer is calling that officer a bitch when he/she addresses her as Ma’am? I think it is kind of a shame that the “Senator” did not recognize that the General was addressing her with more respect than she deserved.
I’m not defending Senator Boxer, but I don’t think the General had any problem making the correction. If any of you had watched the whole C-Span broadcast you would notice that General Walsh also called the male Senators “Sir”.
I do think Senator Boxer was wrong to correct the General since she obviously doesn’t understand how we are trained to show respect to civilians by calling them “ma’am” or “sir”.
This same thing happened to me this past year while corresponding with my student advisor (a professor) through email.
I actually called her “ma’am” in the email. Mind you that I have never met the lady. She responded to my request and added a PS with the statement “University professors prefer to be addressed as Doctor or Professor, we’ve worked hard for that title”.
I informed my advisor that I served over 11 years on Active Duty in the US Army and just got out. I apologized to her and told her that I even call the 18 year old working at our local 7/11 “ma’am”. And I’m 36.
I should have told her that I prefer to be called “Staff Sergeant” since I earned my rank.
I sure as hell hope the American voters have enough sense to vote these clowns out of office in the next set of congressional elections. Don’t know if boxer is up but suppose it could be looked up.Think TERM LIMITS for these clowns. Refuse to capitalize their names. The hell with’em.
She didn’t “EARN” that title. The title was lent to her by the voters of her state for a fixed period of time. The voters can take it back then and lend it to someone else if they choose to.
Someone ought to remind her that real respect is earned, not purchased like some bauble or trinket. Real respect comes from something the military is based upon: “Leadership by Example.”
She’s given folks a hell of an example.

I agree with everyone here, but would we be making an issue of this if say Senator Kay Baily Hutchinson (R) had made the “correction” to the General? Would this even be posted on this site?

If Senator Hutchinson had said something like this, I’d still send a letter to her as i did to senator Boxer. However, in Boxer’s case, the attitude she has is one of entitlement, and it’s been demonstrated many times these past years.

Actually, Babs Boxer was inadvertently correct. Ma’am is a term of respect for a lady. Senator is the proper term for a bloviating, corrupt and treasonous bitch. She knew which shoe fit her.
Or, Senator is the proper term of disrespect for a corrupt, oxygen thief and all around waste of skin.

there is NO excuse for this shrew to not know or understand that this is a military form of respect. good grief i even know it and 1) i haven’t been in the military and 2) i haven’t been a US senator like her for 15 years and a representative for 10 years before that.

In the war of words over Iraq, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) may want this one back.
Speaking about a Democratic proposal to force Iraq troop withdrawal within 120 days, Hutchison said Tuesday that such a proposal would “put a bullet right in the hearts of our troops who are there.”
Hutchison spokesman Matt Mackowiak said his boss meant to say “bullseye” and has used that phrase in the past, even though the transcript of the comments say “bullet.”
Great choice of words Senator Hutchinson….since she did vote against Body Armor. Maybe she did mean it????
