Joe Bans Russian Ammo

| August 22, 2021

On 20 August, the U.S. Department of State announced Russian firearms and ammunition importation will be banned for a minimum of 12 months starting 7 September 2021.

New sanctions imposed include restrictions on the existing imports of certain Russian firearms. New and pending permit applications for the importation of firearms and ammunition manufactured in Russia will be summarily denied.

The ban is touted as a sanction pursuant to the Chemical and Biological Weapons (CBW) Control and Warfare Elimination Act of 1991, over the alleged Russian use of the “Novichok” chemical agent to poison Aleksey Navainy.

Biden Bans Importation of Russian Ammunition in Backhanded Swipe at Gun Owners

President Joe Biden’s State Department announced it would deny all importation permits for ammunition manufactured in Russia on Friday, with the department citing the alleged 2020 poisoning of Russian political dissident Aleksy Navalny.

The ammo ban serves as a de facto punishment for American gun owners for alleged corruption and misconduct on the part of the Russian government. Ammunition manufactured in Russia has consistently been the cheapest available since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in 2019, with brands such as Tula and Wolf offering steel-cased rounds in the .223 caliber at prices well below their western competitors. Steel-cased ammo is easier to manufacture than rounds cased in materials such as copper.

The anti-gun measure may leave blue-collar shooters without means to practice using their weapons, although it’s possible the forcible exit of Russian manufacturers from the US commercial exit will enable American manufacturers to fill the void of affordable rifle ammunition.

Another foreign policy fiasco in Joe’s long history of bad calls, right after he green-lighted Russian’s Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Germany because “it’s almost completely finished.” No, really- so was our Keystone XL pipeline, which he shut down.

This amazingly inept move won’t deter the Russians from poisoning opposition leaders- it’ll just deny Americans a source of (relatively) inexpensive ammo. That market share will eventually be serviced by domestic ammo manufacturers, negating the intended effect.

Typical demonrat MO…punish the ones that didn’t do anything wrong for the actions of those that did do something wrong.

I repeat myself ad nauseum…

(a) It is not about control of gunz, it is about control of We, The People!

(b) They would not be wanting to control the gunz (read We, The People) if they were not planning on doing things that would make us want to shoot them.

Wake up America, 100 years of planning with the past 50 years of intensive change, is coming to fruitation as we sit back and watch. Dominion machines have voted us into the start of Socialism, we ARE going to have to shoot our way out of it.

Another foreign policy fiasco in Joe’s long history of bad calls….

Keep the disastrous stuff comin’, Joey, you bumbling, mumbling dork. Just keep it up.

Soon enough, the floor and ceiling will cave in on this bunch of idiots and put them out of our misery.

We must be wary…..

Gun control ain’t about guns; it’s about control.

Jay

If you can’t control the GUNS, control the AMMO.

“although it’s possible the forcible exit of Russian manufacturers from the US commercial exit will enable American manufacturers to fill the void of affordable rifle ammunition.”

No it isn’t possible. Whoever came up with that is either a deranged lunatic with no contact with reality or a Democrat.

Maybe the Russian Ammo Manufacturers didn’t offer Joe a kickback, thus he backstabbed them?

Welp, no Hunter $$$$$, then no 10% for the Big Guy. The Big Guy never deals direct; he has family bag men for that.

I liked that Russkie ammo. It was good range practice ammo. With steel cases, one didn’t feel the need to recover your cases, since the weren’t reloadable.

I feel your pain. After that terrible boating mishap, mine are all somewhere on the bottom of the Tennessee River.

Mine, in a a wagon, going in swampy terrain, quicksand, – *SOB!*

What’s an ‘ammo’?
Right now we are importing more oil from Russia than any time in history.
I bet Bathhouse Berry and is broad shouldered ‘wife’ had plenty beluga caviar at his super conVaid-19 free party.
The balls on these fools…… especially Mooshell.

Roh-Dog

I know it’s OT, but has anyone seen this fking hurricane I was promised?

Patience Grasshopper. It’s a French Him-a-cane. He’ll show up when he’s ready. Maybe late tonight or tomorrow. He hammered Joisey with some flooding, then turned toward the Island Plantation of Mr. Rhodes. Looks like a nothing burger for the PDRofCT, stiff breeze and some rain. But hey, you’re a young man still. Just wait another 30 years and y’all will have another shot at it. Have another Miller Lite, squeeze Ms Thang, and check your boat for leaks. Might wanna get some swimmies for your gunz iffen you takes them for a boat ride.

Negative there Top, the aqueous solutions’ patterns are full as this man evolved from the water and has no desires to go back to the briny. Besides, there be enuf squids, whales and degenerate Seamen to sway any rational mind from dipping toe.

And KoB, gunz are for fighters, I’m a lover… of beer money. The only floatie I needs cooked some fantastic breaded chicken with mozzarella. (now if I can get her to find the right butter to mash ‘tates ratio…)

KoB

Tell her, -Dog, if the smashed taters ain’t got a yella tint to add another half stick of butter.

I try. Lord knows I try. I gotta get’er the Paula Dean How to Cook Like Tomorrow Ain’t Happening box set.

Once went into a fried food join outside of Savannah with the Proggy left-tard ex wife. Highly touted, full lot and a wait to get a table. I knew we was in the right place.
Got the bird and some corn fritters, figured I had been boozing a bit hard, saw they had veggies on the menu, so I ordered.

You shoulda seen the look on the ex’s face when she saw carrots, sugar peas, okra and cauliflower in the wax paper, battered and fried. (I was surprised, but she was appalled)

Y’all know how to do it.

Oh, and let AW!3p or whatever, GABN.

My Man! Put some South in your mouth! Some sho’ nuff good eatin’ can happen in and around Savannah, Pooler, Guyton, Richmond Hill, Hinesville, Rincon, the list goes on. Back yonder when I was a road warrior I’d adjust what day I went into different towns by what was on the menu of certain places. Good Times! Sadly, a number of them were hit hard by the Chinese Communist Originated Virus Infecting Disease Bat Flu and really struggled. Bunch of them are gone.

Roasted carrots.

Graybeard

It may just be a bit of called-for cynicism, but I’m now anticipating an action “for public safety” of course, against the homeland ammo manufacturers.

On the theory of “no bullets, no revolution”

YMMV

Graybeard

Dang typos “I’m now anticipating”…

He’s instituting sanctions for something that happened a year ago? He needs to learn his priorities. We’ve had some more pressing issues since then.

M48DAT

They will probably find a work around. Wouldn’t it be ironic if the Russians sold ammo through IMI?

26Limabeans

At least you can police up the casings with a magnet.
Or let them lay there and rust.
Next thing they will go after is reloading supplies.
We can’t have private citizens storing explosives.
Fentanyl and Meth no problem though as long as the
right people benefit.

A ray of hope here – the Yogoslavians are ramping up their ammo production for the US market and it is usually brass cased, although berdan primed hence not reloadable. When stupid people try to be smart, it is not that hard to outwit them.

11B-Mailclerk

Prvi Partizan makes some decent ammo. (Serbia)

Docduracoat

Russian ammo was hundreds of millions of rounds made in 3 different factories.
It’s going to take many years, if ever, for the Serbs and Bosnians to ramp up production to that level
The one Ukrainian ammo factory is in Donbas, under Russian control.
Hornady makes steel case ammo but will never be able to match the price of ammo from European factories with machines paid off years ago and low price labor.
This move was aimed at American gun owners, not Russia.
Ammo import bans never get removed, even under Republican presidents.
Clinton banned Chinese ammo in the 90’s and Bush and Trump never thought to allow it in again.

Fyrfighter

This!

This was not an inept move (though pResident pudding cup is more than capable of them), this is a direct attack on American gun owners. The left knows what they’ve done, and what they’re planning to do, and they don’t want us having weapons and ammo when they do…

MI Ranger

Next he’ll ban goods made in Taiwan because they are part of China (without banning anything from mainland China)!

Blaster

Just started to see ammo on the shelves. I guess this admin needed to “fix” that too!
