Wife Alerts Husband of Intruder, Leading to Shootout — But Police Say Man Was Actually Her Lover

Police in Alabama are sorting through a “bizarre” incident in which a homeowner, alerted by his wife, shot an alleged intruder — only to later learn the “intruder” was in a relationship with the homeowner’s wife and had been secretly living in his house.“I’ve still yet to figure out how somebody can be staying in your house and you not know it,” Mobile County Sheriff’s Capt. Paul Burch told TV station FOX 10 News.
“It’s somewhat bizarre,” he said.
The armed “intruder,” Michael Amacker, was shot in the leg and elbow Sunday night at the home in Creola. But Amacker also fired at the homeowner, Frank Reeves, striking him in the chest.
Both men survived their injuries.

Burglary suspect with cattle prod tackled by homeowner during home invasion
TULSA, Okla. — A burglary suspect is in custody after being tackled by a homeowner after an early Thursday morning home invasion.
Tulsa police received a call that someone was attempting to break into a home near 15th St. and S. Trenton Ave.
Officers learned that the homeowner said his dogs woke him and his wife up around 1 a.m. Thursday morning. The homeowner then walked to the front of his house to find the front door unlocked with broken glass.
The homeowner then said the suspect, identified as Thomas Allen, called to him and was carrying what looked like to be a weapon. Allen claimed the weapon was a cattle prod and held it to the homeowner’s back.
When Allen turned away, the homeowner then threw a blanket over him and tackled him to the ground.

Ohio woman shoots home intruder multiple times, police say

TOLEDO, Ohio — An Ohio woman shot an intruder multiple times Friday morning after the man entered her occupied home in an attempt to burglarize it, investigators said.Toledo police said the man went through the front door of the house around 1 a.m. and was shot multiple times by the woman, WTOL reported.
There were several children inside the house.
The man stumbled off and fell over in the front yard. He was taken to a hospital where he is being treated for critical, life-threatening injuries. His identity has not been released.

Once all details are exposed, husband divorces wife, kicks wife out of the house. Husband invites ex-lover to move into house, and both men live happily ever after as bachelors, living well.

Captain Paul Burch has a masterful command of the understatement, “It’s somewhat bizarre,”. It’s really a whole lot of bizarre, Captain.
After reading that review of the Emissary, just had a curiosity thought……could you retrofit a standard 1911 with a standard barrel and bushing, with a bushingless bull barrel?
If the guy threw a wet blanket over the cattle prod perp, then the story would be sort of dull.
Maybe the wife in Alabama thought that was a way to get rid of the boyfriend without her hubby knowing.
