The Tree of Liberty is not watered with patriot blood, per Biden

| June 24, 2021

Biden presented his argument as to why his gun control initiative should pass. His explanation appears to be inconsistent with both the Second Amendment’s text and with U.S. History.

A transcript of a part of Biden’s statement:

The Second Amendment from the day it was passed limited the type of people who could own a gun. Or what type of weapon you can own. You couldn’t buy cannon. Those who say the blood the, the blood of patriots you know, and all this stuff about how we’re going to have to move against the government. Well the Tree of Liberty is not watered with the blood of patriots. What’s happened is that there never been, if you want, if you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F15s and maybe some nuclear weapons. The point is that there is always been the ability to limit, rationally limit the type of weapon that could be owned and who could own it.

The Second Amendment:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

The Second Amendment addressed human nature rather than who could own what weapon. Here is a video and audio of a part of his statement:

Biden is such a pussy, alligator mouth and rabbit’s ass, while threatening to invoke government warfare against civilians.

    Aneurysm. Git’r’dun.

Tell us how ya really feel, don’t hold back.
      Agreed 100%.
How’re they gonna say that we, the American people, don’t have the right and obligation of self defense, yet do NOT-A-THING to establish order or ANYDAMNTHING close to justice.
He, and everyone around him, is out of order.

You have I think not a spoonerism, but a flipped euphemism here that I’m going to edit it and include it to be included on the The Hemisphere of Insults®™ , “This guy is such a pussy, such an alligator’s mouth attached to a rabbit’s ass, he makes Joe Biden look like a prodigy, and such a virile hunk, it’s a wonder Old Joe wasn’t elected leader of the Planet.”

We are LOOOOOONG overdue for that series of revolutions that Mr Jefferson advocated:

    https://www.monticello.org/site/research-and-collections/tree-liberty-quotation

    An excerpt:
“God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion.1 The people can not be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. We have had 13. states independent 11 years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure. Our Convention has been too much impressed by the insurrection of Massachusetts: and in the spur of the moment they are setting up a kite to keep the hen yard in order. I hope in god this article will be rectified before the new constitution is accepted.2”

    • AW1 Rod says:

The feeb omitted the blood of tyrants from his rambling diatribe. He should’ve paid particularly close attention to that insightful part of Jefferson’s quote, as he mangled it.

  5. The Other Whitey says:

As others elsewhere have pointed out, this comes from the figurehead of the shrill, screeching fucknuts who insist that a crowd of unarmed protesters peaceably assembled nearly overthrew the federal government and must be treated as terrorists.

Fuck that. Fuck Rapey Joe & The Whore. Fuck Pelosi and Schumer. Fuck Ojos-Locos, Talib, and the brotherfucker. Fuck Bitch McConnell and the rest of the sellout RINOs. They have made their intentions clear.

They are pushing this country towards a new civil war. This is not bravado on my part. I am not happy or excited about it. I am, in fact, scared shitless. I’m afraid for my kids, my family in California, and for America in general, as this new civil war will be far less gentlemanly than the last one, including the Missouri bushwhackers. The left has demonstrated that they have zero qualms about women, children, bystanders, etc. In fact, they prefer their victims helpless.

So I am terrified. I also don’t have any better ideas. Each day, they shove our peaceful options just a little further out of reach. They will never willingly surrender the power they have seized. Biden is too senile to know what he’s doing, but Harris & co are another story. They know their soft coup is no longer a secret, and now they’re pushing to consolidate what they’ve taken and nail the lid shut on the Constitution’s coffin.

I pray that I am wrong.

Saw this on evening last, again. By passed the full reading, just to make sure my BP didn’t go thru the roof. Chancre Mechanic done told me NOT to let that happen. Three strikes and I’m out…for good the next time.

Where to begin. When the FIRST (ht 2 Roh-Dog) Revolution of Patriots against an overbearing grubermint happened, the Citizen Soldier had NO true “Military Weapons” (can you say Brown Bess?), limited in size Arty, and no Navy. Yet they took on and defeated the most powerful, well equipped, and trained Military in the World and beat them. Yeah, they had some help, but it came very much later on and the French had an ulterior, self beneficial reason for throwing in with us. When the Second War of Independence came along, and the United States Federal Grubermint declared war against Nation States, who by the way had never expressed a desire to overthrow the grubermint, that Nation of States had NO standing Army, Navy, or Marine Corps. They did have a “well regulated Militia” under the control of the states and they came very close to winning their independence. The politics of the “particular institution” didn’t come into play until 2 & 1/2 years later. They fought with Honor and accepted the defeat from starvation and just being worn out in the fight with Honor. Imagine, if you will, if Bobby Lee and Joe Johnston, had of NOT told their men to go home and become good citizens. THAT war would probably still be going on. And remember that Bobby Lee stated several years into reconstruction that if he had of known what extreme measures against Liberty that Reconstruction was to bring, he would have preferred to die with his sword in hand. Say what you will, that 2nd war WAS caused by power hungry politicians, on BOTH sides, and a news media that was fanning the flames of divisiveness. Strange how history does repeat itself. We are seeing the same situation now.

Can’t own a cannon? PHHHTTT! (*spit*, how’s it on stains?) I personally know several hundred people that own cannons…and powder, shot, with crews to serve them. Had one my own self. No, they are not 105/155/or 8in breechloaders, but you ever seen what double canister from a 12 pounder at 50 yards will do? How about case or solid shot from a rifled Parrot at 2-4 miles. And as commented before, ol Buddy 2 counties over has a warehouse full of working military surplus guns and tanks…all fully operational…with crews. Rents ’em out to Hollywood and WWII re-enactors. No, might not can take on an M1A1 in a stand up fair fight, but who said we have to fight fair?

Unlike Stalin and Hitler, prezzy sniffy, in his own self serving, grifting career politician way, is continuing the work that Oblowme started…destroying the military from with in. Running off the true Warriors and replacing them with Stasi types that will do his biden.

I have a hill that I’m willing to die to keep. Are they willing to die to take it from me? Full disclosure…I may lose the fight but I plan on selling my life dearly.

      • Roh-Dog says:

      • Only Army Mom says:

Kob and Roh-Dog (and the rest of my adored deplorables), I have a story to give you heart.

Recently, I was in a…situation…where some woke leftys lost their collective minds because over the obvious military bearing of my companions. Complaints were lodge because “they” felt unsafe overhearing our private conversation about the merits of, and current difficulties in, acquiring various weaponry and their respective projectiles.

The complainers were demanding we be asked to leave on the assumption that my companions were armed, we were in a place that served alcohol, that is against the law, it was only a matter of time until my companions became sufficiently inebriated and started firing their (presumed concealed) weapons. Within the establishment.

When management (whom I know are like-minded to us) rolled their eyes, the po-po were called. The po-po were told my companions were armed, were not-so discretely showing each other their weapons, and need to be arrested. Post haste!

The po-po had to take the accusation seriously, and my companions happily stood to be frisked. None were in fact armed, despite being able to legally be armed in that place. When no weapons were found, nor where empty holsters, it was suggested I was hiding them in my purse or on my person. I showed my purse, about 4″ x 6″ and stood up, wearing a simple t-shirt and shorts and turned around showing there was no holster or pocket large enough to secret several guns.

The po-po apologized, warned the complainers about false accusations (didn’t charge them as they “claimed” they were sure they saw “something”), my laughing companions sat down.

All the while, I was the only one who was in fact armed. It’s called a FlashBang and I never leave home without it.

        The point of my story…
there are lots of us who would never be expected to be ready, willing and able to ensure their cost is most dear. One of the happy consequences of sexism. It’s really good to be a girl sometimes.

  6. gitarcarver says:

The Second Amendment from the day it was passed limited the type of people who could own a gun. Or what type of weapon you can own. You couldn’t buy cannon.

    This is factually false.

During the time of the passage of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, you could own a cannon. It was not a law that prevented owning a cannon, but the cost. The things weren’t and aren’t cheap.

That is why communities banded together to purchase cannons. It was a shared cost.

It wasn’t until the case of US v Miller that the tie to owning a cannon was abolished when the Court (wrongly) decided that a sawed off shot gun had no military basis even though the shotgun had been instrumental in trench clearing in WWI.

No matter what, Biden is wrong on history and no one will call him out on it.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, it said “arms” in there, not any particular kind.

    • rgr769 says:

I think the fact it was a “sawed off” shotgun is the reason the court said it had no military utility. As a student of military firearms, I have never seen a true sawed off shotgun as a modern military weapon. And yes, I know some Confederate cavalry units carried short barreled shotguns, but they weren’t carried because they were easily concealable, nor were they made so by cutting down their stocks and barrels.

I think his handlers and minders just dope him, wind him up, and put him in front of the teleprompter to read the scripts they create for him. I doubt he even knows what day of the week it is until someone tells him. The only reason he knows he is in the District of Criminals is because he recalls the White House is located there and he is in the White House.

“…and he is in the White House.”

        But can’t remember why…

        • timactual says:

Sure he can. As Chairman of some committee or other he is there to meet with the President. Must be a Republican Pres. because he keeps Joe waiting all the time.

    • timactual says:

A bit of both, I think. Also, years and years of practice. He far exceeds the 10,000 hours of idiocy needed to become an expert.

  11. Poetrooper says:

It seems to ol’ Poe that ol’ Joe is forgetting (imagine that) that there are hundreds of F-15’s, F-16’s and plenty of armored and artillery brigades in state-controlled National Guard units that might not be willing to be nationalized in the event of a civil war.

The situation is not quite as one-sided as the libs (and too many conservatives) seem to think it is. American patriots wouldn’t be fighting with infantry weapons only. As far as that goes, how many of the mostly white male pilots in active tactical air units would be willing to turn their aircraft against their own people? That possibility applies to all sorts of active duty military units as well, which is why the Marxists are so eager to force their thinking onto our military.

And never forget, conservative forces would be widely dispersed over huge land areas while liberal forces mostly would be concentrated in highly vulnerable urban areas making them highly susceptible to encirclement, containment and siege, deprived of food, fuel and electrical power, among other necessities.

Again, the situation wouldn’t be quite as one-sided as many folks think. The libs know that and it’s got them running scared.

    • A Proud Infidel®™️ says:

And just how quickly will those liberals riot and turn on each other as soon as food and water gets scarce, let alone their electricity goes out?

      • Poetrooper says:

When it comes to sharing scarce necessities, those urban libs will learn very quickly just how much “Black Lives Matter”.

How far can a plane fly with no food? You read that right. If in a rebellion, the supply of food to the bases will be cut. As well as fuel and other commodities. No food or fuel, no fight.

  13. Poetrooper says:

Here’s an interesting observation from Red State:

“Stick with me here. If Biden and his party truly believe the government is so all-powerful that any possible rebellion would be put down with ease, then how does that square with their claims that our “democracy” was on the brink of destruction on January 6th because some unarmed people took selfies in Pelosi’s office? Either our system of government is so fragile that a dude in horns and facepaint can threaten its existence, or it’s so untouchable that the government would just nuke anyone who got within a mile of doing any harm to it. Which is it? Because it can’t be both.”

  15. Milo Mindbender says:

“The Second Amendment from the day it was passed limited the type of people who could own a gun. Or what type of weapon you can own. You couldn’t buy cannon”
WRONG!!, Prior to the NFA of 1934 the civilian populace had access to better and more modern weapons than the military issued.
The US Army was still using bolt action rifles into WWII in some units, civilians could buy semi and full auto over the counter. Fear of the violence brought on with prohibition led to not an outright ban but restrictive licensing to posess select fire, or other such items even while the military didn’t commonly used them yet.A cannon was not only legal it was kinda common for ocean merchants and some riverboat to cart around with them. The founding father limited government not the general public with every of the 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights.
