Macon Papa John’s employee holds robber at gunpoint until deputies arrive
An employee at the store got their handgun and held Stewart at gunpoint until deputies arrived.
MACON, Ga. — One man is facing charges after a Macon Papa John’s Pizza was robbed Monday night.
A news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the Papa John’s Pizza at 1350 Gray Highway was robbed just before 11 p.m.
It was reported that workers there asked 24-year-old Corey Stewart if he had an order when he walked inside the store.
He said no. That’s when the release says Stewart walked up to the employees and threatened to shoot the store up if they didn’t give him money.
When the employees didn’t give him money, Stewart went to the restroom.
An employee got their handgun and held Stewart at gunpoint until deputies arrived.
No one was hurt.

Both links provided by our very own Gun Bunny. He opined the lady in article #2 used a nine iron- not nearly enough club in my humble estimation.

She musta had one of those AR-10 irons.
Heh heh. Dumbazz at the pizza place. Well known in that strip shopping center that the owner arms his employees. Just a few short years ago that area was a thriving mixed use retail area. Now it is just a good place to get mugged. Oh, and just across the street is a po po station.
Ms Thang was continuing the use of “primitive weapons” for this week. I guess a club is a primitive weapon. Maybe should of got a wood and not puttered around. Homeboy made him a nice hole in one shot…albeit thru the door was not the best of ideas…in some locales.
There was a real nice reproduction (CVA) .36 double trigger, flint lock, Lancaster PA designed rifle hanging on a rack above the mantel. Accurate as all hell and a fun to shoot piece. Damn a leaky boat. Same tragedy took out an assortment of black powder person portable artillery pieces.
Touch of sad news from Firebase Magnolia today. One of the young men that I worked with in the construction gangs fell over dead from a massive heart attack Sunday Morning. Steve was only 51 yo, veteran of the 10th Mtn Div, left a wife and 3 daughters. Was a die hard Roll Tide Roll, Crimson Tide AlaDAMNbama football fan and was the FIRST to fire up the grill for the (GO) Army (BEAT) Navy Game. We’ll be giving him a semi proper send off today at 1100 hours. Told his ass that management job would be the death of him. His wife was home with a touch of the COVID so he will probably test positive for it too.
Condolences, KoB.
So sorry to hear it. Peace to the family and his friends.
RIP to the “young” man and condolences to the family.
PREPARE THE 21 GUN SALUTE!
Tanks Mates…We did a semi decent job of sending him off, Phone Factory Style. Took 2 of the big T-40 Bucket Trucks tail to tail and ran the booms all the way out and up to form a nice arch for the Hearse and Family cars to drive under. Had the US Colors flying from one boom and the Roll Tide Roll Crimson Tide Colors flying from the other. A number of the attendees took a day off and drove 100 + miles to be there. The Family expressed their appreciation for that to me for passing on. A group of us that served will go back in a few weeks with a proper firing detail to render Honors.

Hopefully the young gentleman who was faced by the “jilted lover” was observing through the windows of the door, but did not feel safe enough to open in in order to open fire. Sounds like he hit what he intended to so at least he was following the rules of safe firearm use!
Wonder if they just locked him in the bathroom or was a firearm really necessary.
Slightly off-topic, but a Feel Good Story anyway.
It’s my understanding that the MOH paperwork for SFC Cashe is currently in the President’s things to do box for sign-off.
So, there was no robbery, but an attempted robbery? (Guy demands $$ but it was not given to him.) Good on the folks for stifling the would be robber in his efforts.
Tiger Woods ex jilted?
Dude, you missed the biggest feel good story of the day;
GoP lost the senate.
And the three people most to thank for that loss…
Donald Trump
Stacey Abrams
Mitch McConnell.
GOP spineless sycophants.
And only Abrams meant for the GOP to lose.
The others just acted like morons.
It was like they were trying to lose.
Oh, and today Trump’s loss is certified.
So you have that to look forward too as well.
Talk about a feel good Wednesday.
