Best news of 2020!
Maybe this year isn’t a total loss. The insane Valor of Sergeant First Class Alwyn Cashe is finally being properly honored. President Trump signed the legislation authorizing Cashe for a posthumous award of the Medal of Honor.
Thanks to KoB for making sure we were aware.

Out-bloody-standing!
Leading from the front to the bitter end.
About time.
WORD!!!
Hell yeah!
Well deserved and long over due.
I am glad Sergeant First Class Alwyn Cashe is finally being given the honor he deserves. I am only sorry it took so long for his family.
I am with you, Brother!
BZ President Trump for doing what others coulda, shoulda, woulda, had oughta done. BZ to all that kept pushing to insure that SFC Cashe was awarded the recognition that he so very deserved. Many of us here recall that Platoon Daddy, Sergeant FIRST Class Jonn Lilyea, pushed this for years Anyone want to lay odds that SFC Cashe was the FIRST (ht 2 Hack Stone) to greet SFC Lilyea when ‘Toon Daddy crossed over The River? “…No Greater Love…”
Yeah, pretty sure Plat’ Daddy was greeted upon arrival.
Because they were two brothers from other mothers.
HOOAH!
Mason:
You ARE correct…
This IS the BEST news of 2020.
Wish Jonn was still here to share with us this wonderful information provided to us by our KoB…
Rest In Peace, SFC Cashe.
15 years late…however: You Were Never Forgotten.
What a constrast between two stories shared today about two Army Soldiers/NCOs…
One is this story about a Hero who sacrificed his life for his fellow troops and will be receiving the Medal of Honor
SFC Cashe…
The other is about a Dirtball name William Travis Tucker of Florence, Alabama, who only cared about his own narcisstic life and possibly drug habits, so much that he tried to con others financially by not only stating he was a POW, but also tried to get POW plates for his car. Additionally, Tucker passed himself off as being a recipient of the Purple Heart and Silver Star, the same Silver Star that SFC Cashe received for his heroism on the battlefield that is FINALLY, after 15 years, being upgraded to a Medal of Honor.
Rest In Peace, SFC Cashe, Hero.
Go Pound Sand, William Travis Tucker, Phony POW, who stole VALOR from SFC Cashe and others.
Then there is this piece of shit, from Ft Benning. https://www.armytimes.com/news/your-army/2020/12/01/fort-benning-soldier-arrested-after-boy-forced-out-of-car-killed-by-vehicle/
The most unselfish and the bravest man I ever knew…
Better late than never. And some comfort and peace to his family at long last.
Fucking. Awesome.
Outstanding!!
About time. Jonn was pushing for this for the longest and it’s heartening to see it finally happen. First round is on me when I get to the other side.
Finally!
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
How apropos …
About damn time!!!!! God Bless Sgt. Cashe!
Never was a man more deserving.
“We should thank God that such men lived.”
And we should also honor their actions, even if late.
Rest well, SFC Cashe. You’re a better man than I am.
Nobody could’ve said it better, Hondo. Makes me glad to’ve worn the same uniform.
Yep.
About. Damn. Time.
Glad to see folks finally did the right thing.
Hell yes1
Indeed, this is great news.
Thanks again to the family for sharing him with the rest of us. Blessings upon each of you.
Hallelujah it’s way past time for SFC Alwyn Cashe to be awarded the MoH.
God bless Sergeant First Class Alwyn Cashe.
Never forget the actions of this brave and selfless Leader.
