Vets’ Trucks Targeted?

| November 16, 2020

Some Houston thieves targeted disabled veterans’ trucks at a vet-specific event on Veterans Day.

Four disabled veterans left a Marine Corps ball in Houston on Saturday to find their truck windows shattered and belongings stolen.

A handgun, a purse and a laptop were included among the missing possessions.

All of the victims had disabled veteran license plates and all drove trucks, Houston TV news channel KPRC 2 first reported. – article

It appears that the vets’ trucks were targeted, possibly because they have Disabled Veteran license plates on them, and the parking lot was quite full when they got there. But since it was an event for veterans, being sent to a parking space in back may have simply been a coincidence. The article does make it clear exactly when they arrived, only that the lot was nearly full.

Houston. Another “blue wave” city becoming a sack of pus in the otherwise great state of Texas.

OldManchu,
Already infiltrated by those who would willingly
elect, and re-elect, a nutjob to Congress.

Reparations, anyone?

Get the good ol’ boys and girls the Hell out of there and nuke the site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

Wonder how much reparations will Heels up Harris have to pay for the African Slaves that her Grand Pappy owned. I think that 1 million dead in a war and 160 years of welfare covers our share pretty good. Now how much reparations you gonna get from the African Tribal Leaders that enslave your Grandpappy and sold you to the mooslem arabs that in turn sold your happy asses to the British, Portuguese, The New England Slave ship builders, the list goes on. Oh and btw, when can you show me a documented case of a slave ship flying an Army of Northern Virginia, or any other Flag tied to the Confederate States? I’ll wait right here.

And another thing. Are you going to withhold your reparations from Africans that fought for the South? And are you going to demand tribute from Whitey whose folks didn’t make it here till after the passage of the 13th amendment?

Half of my family fought for the Union in the civil war, the other half came here in the 1890’s. I figure I’ll give the recipients of reparations a break, they only owe me 50% of whatever they think they’re entitled to.

Houston was the liberal city in Texas when I lived in Austin. Austin was still mixed with all the students and Legislature there. It went full retard when Silicon Valley started moving to Austin!

The blue state sh*thole of Texas…

You can get DV tags when you are rated over 50%, but they also come with handicapped placards. Were all the handicapped slots full? And not to excuse the thieves (we can, after all, shoot them here – and do) but at an event FOR VETERANS what are the odds that the majority of the vehicles on the lot are driven by… wait for it – veterans? Knowing that this hotel is near Hobby (which in itself defines it as in a shitty area) I am surprised the Marriott doesn’t have any security. ‘Course, if they did, someone would probably still sue them because their guard at the north end of the lot didn’t prevent someone’s purse from being stolen at the south end. I would mark that with a sarcasm tag but note that the WalMart in El Paso where the mass shooting took place a while back is getting sued for having inadequate parking lot security… and they are in an area much less sketchy than this Marriott.

Big reason to never leave a firearm in your car. That gun either needs to be on your person or in a safe.

A decade ago I worked downtown and rode the light rail every day. I parked my 4runner at an “on street” parking area adjacent to the light rail station (which did not have its own parking lot.)

One October afternoon I got off the train only to find my passenger side window smashed in, dash ripped apart and interior tossed. The only things taken were a cheap stereo worth probably $20 on the street (that they had to do $1500 worth of damage to my car to get), about $15 worth of change in my ash tray and an air compressor worth probably $50.

My car was the only one on the street broken into. Why? My guess would be the NRA sticker on the back window. From the way they rifled through every compartment in the vehicle, it seemed obvious they thought they might find a gun. However, they didn’t (funny thing is they passed over several high value items like tools, a mag-lite flashlight, and a near-new Gore-Tex parka in their search.)

Needless to say, the NRA sticker got scraped off that day.

So my guess is that if an obvious “veteran” vehicle is targeted, especially in a place like TX, it’s likely because they figure that there are likely to be firearms on board.

And the more “Molon Labe” and “III %er” and “you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands” stickers the vehicle has, the more likely it is to be targeted for that very reason.

Which are all good reasons to ‘fly under the radar’ in terms of what you put on the outside of your vehicle. 😉
